As has been on the news Hong Kong has sustained a fair amount of damage from Typhoon Mangkhut. Hong Kongers are now coping with the aftermath with damage to MTR rail lines, loads of fallen / damaged trees and no bus services running. Forum members may be interested in the photo gallery in this South China Morning Post article. The 8th photo of 16 shows a lot of KMB double deckers wedged tight inside a parking area. The crowding on the MTR was also something to be seen! There is also other video footage of the actual typhoon conditions - very scary. I think I'd have been terrified if forced to remain inside a hi rise hotel room while that was going on. I've never encountered typhoon conditions on my visits to HK and the damage this time is something else. www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/transport/article/2164461/hong-kong-faces-traffic-chaos-mtr-and-bus-routes-after

Luckily I escaped the Typhoon here in Beijing, the crowding on the subway is nothing compared to Beijing!!! Damage is quite severe however you need to look at Shenzhen or Guangzhou which substained more damage, pleased to say everything is running normally and life goes on as normal.....
