Brilliant, lets slow down more people's journey by wasting money bringing in a scheme that doesn't change drivers habits. Not to mention driving at 20mph isn't good long term for vehicles or the environment.

"20mph speed limits are designed to be self enforcing" no they won't be enforced meaning people can go faster, so situation normal or worse.
Wonder how many Richmond bus routes will have their running times amended, in particular the night routes.
The Camden 20mph speed limit meant that additional running time would needed to be put onto the N271, amongst other routes. Said additional time would have cost TfL a further bus which they refused to pay for. So the N271 either gets later and later during the night, or the drivers continually break the speed limit to stick to their duty cards. Ergo defeating the whole purpose of the scheme ...
