Thought I might start a thread where we can all throw in any trivia we know about bus operations in London (or anywhere else if you know anything). I'm interested to see what comes out of this.
An example: GR Streetdecks were blinded for the 268 but never ran on it once.

I'll shall start with how most Barkingside branding route colours have an some sort of a meaning 128 Purple - It passes the most amount of TfL rail/Crossrail/Elizabeth Line stations of any Barkingside routes with 3 stations (Ilford, Goodmayes & Romford). 150 Light Blue - The colour of seats on it's T's on the 150. 167 Dark Blue - The colour of seats, seat-back and the floor on it's MMC's on the 167. 169 Green - It Passes Barking station which is served by District Line. 247 Yellow - Goes past a stop called Yellowpine Way in Hainault . 275 Pink - Unfortunately I couldn't come up anything that is Pink related with the 275 . 462 Orange - The colour of the handrail on it's MMC's on the 462.

252 is blinded for the MMCs that are on the 257. Didn’t know that until yesterday when I saw it on YouTube. Honestly amazing to see a RM bus that is blinded on a hybrid Edit: video evidence: youtu.be/ovKfUrECjg4

The 275 passes the Central Line which is red which is nearly pink - I was really reaching with that lol.

Going back a good few years, some blindsets were printed with destinations ready for proposed extensions. Three I can think of are NX RM/Ls with 'Kensal Rise' for the 36, Q RM/Ls with 'Norbury Station' for the 159 and KX RM/Ls with 'Notting Hill Gate' for the post-OPO extention of the 390.

Moz TH had two destinations that were never used Thornton Heath Selhurst Park & Thornton Heath Mayday Road I believe Selhurst Park was for the 198 and Mayday Road was a planned curtailment point for 109 neither were implemented

On route 290, you can take a bus to cross the road. Board at Hampton Road East and take the 2 minute ride via Sainsbury’s, before disembarking at - you guessed it - Hampton Road East!

Honestly amazing to see a RM bus that is blinded on a hybrid Edit: video evidence: youtu.be/ovKfUrECjg4That's because to have a seamless transition the E400's at RM that were transferring over to Leyton were rblinded at RM with a Leyton blind set that included the 252, and used on the 252 for the last few days they spent at RM

The same could be done on the 224 (although not for much longer) where you board at stop A at Alperton station and it negotiates the Sainsbury’s before returning to the station and get off at stop B on the other side of the road
