N15 goes through Westminster, city of London, tower hamlets, newham, barking & Dagenham, havering The good old 25 (and now N25) went through Westminster, Camden, city of London, tower hamlets, newham and Redbridge N89 goes through Westminster, city of London, Southwark, lewisham, Greenwich and bexley

The 341 goes through Harringey, Hackney, Camden, City of London, Lambeth and Westminster off the top of my head.

All short term contracts have in some way or another involved Metroline recently. 266 went to RATP after a short stint at Metroline 378. went to Go Ahead after a short stint at Metroline 306. Will go to Metroline after a short stint at RATP X140. Will go to RATP after a short stint at Metroline.

Don't forget Islington too. The stand where Northumberland Park Tesco is in Enfield council I think that puts the 341 at 7/8 (depending if you include the City of London). Can't think of a route which does more than that.

X68 runs through Camden, Westminster, Lambeth & Croydon N89 runs through Westminster, City of London, Southwark, Lewisham, Greenwich & Bexley N199 runs through Westminster, City of London, Southwark, Greenwich, Lewisham & Bromley None of these can compete with the 341

X26 goes through - Croydon, Sutton, Kingston, Richmond, Hounslow, Hillingdon - So even though it's a long route still only has 6 boroughs it goes through compared to the 341 with 7/8. And the X26 technically doesn't even stop in Hounslow so that could be debated just goes through. It is also not too far from the Merton border either at New Malden and the Epsom and Ewell/Surrey border at Cheam, as well.

Now that the 110 has been extended to Hammersmith, will this be first time there has been a "direct" daytime bus route between Hounslow Town Centre & Hammersmith - direct as in without a change, rather than direct as taking the shortest route?

The 73 used to run from Hounslow Bus Station to Stoke Newington, albeit in sections most of the time. In respect of the question posed one section was Hounslow Bus Station to Hammersmith providing a direct service with no change required.
