That’s gonna confuse some people as Croydon Airport’s been closed since the 60s Sounds like a downright stupid idea to me... it seems that MetroBus has forgotten that the year isn't 1959 anymore... Many people know the area as Croydon Airport would have no idea where or what Colonnades is. The latter should not be used in any description in my eyes. Does matter whether the airport still exists or not, it is what the area is known as. I would rather plain Croydon Airport or Purley Way, Croydon Airport. The only reason I know Colonnades exists is because the 119 terminates there.

132: Bexleyheath Shopping Centre > Bexleyheath Town Centre Really TfL? That's a new low. This is just plain unnecessary and it won't make a difference at all.
If it won't make any difference, why are you so against it? Town Centre is a better description IMO, as it is more than just a standalone shopping centre.

Personally, I don’t see the issue with Bexleyheath, Shopping Centre which has been and still is, the blind for all routes terminating in central Bexleyheath for many years

Not everyone knows it as Croydon Airport though - my best mate knows it as Purley Way, Colonnades which is the most accurate description for it. Imagine we start changing many destinations to something that doesn’t exist - it would be mass confusion.

It it the site of the old terminal buildings, so I would argue it does still exist although might not be active, now known as Airport House, with a blinking big airplane outside it. What is not to associate it as the last remnants of Croydon Airport

If you call it and attraction, it is still Croydon Airport. I would never use Colonnades to describe it. And let's be honest it would not be Colonnades if the council in their wisdom decided not to rescue it in yet another disastrous property deal for the tax payers.

Noticed that the EL1s Vicarage Field turn has gone from plain "Barking" to "Barking Town Centre"

The 174 change only happened a few weeks ago but saying that it was a daft change. I hope LED blind changes are now as frequent when they become standard.

What is not to associate it as the last remnants of Croydon Airport I must admit I agree with you. Here it says 'towards Croydon Airport' and the first stop is called 'The Colonnades, Croydon Airport'. I think that Croydon Airport THE COLONNADESis the best blind, with Croydon Airport, Purley Way Colonnades best for the iBus destination. I'm sure many go there for the shops/Premier Inn at the Colonnades, which is on the address. The address for the Premier Inn is: The Colonnades Leisure Park, 619 Purley Way, Surrey, CR0 4RQ
