Maybe they were deemed to not save much in the long run yet would have had high opposition.

The 386 change is not happening. quote author=" TB123" source="/post/616945/thread" timestamp="1611909227"] Looks like my cynicism about TfL not publishing future consultations was misplaced. In the new Customer Services report that Snowman linked to there is this list of future consultations. The G1, 386 and Croydon routes consultations are brand new. The 470 and 404/434 change has been published on the list before. The Croydon proposal is either going to be ominous or else some extra resources going into the area. Just found this - wonder what ever happened to the 386 and G1 consultations?[/quote]

quote author=" TB123" source="/post/616945/thread" timestamp="1611909227"] Incidentally what's the G1 consultation about? Rerouting in Tooting, however I believe its something to do with Springfield University Hospital. Also, I did hear something year's back about the 315 being extended there too but not sure if that's been scrapped or that it may still be considered in the near future.

The Waltham Forest consultation should drop soon. Obviously we knew a restructuring of the W15 and a new route W17 is included. Wonder if anything else is gonna be part of it.

Bare in mind that TFL I believe are about to enter Purdah period due to the mayoral elections in May so new consultations, consultation results and tender awards may go quiet until after the election.

I don’t think purdah will start until March 25th, which is about 6 weeks before the election. Plenty of time to reveal the outstanding Sutton/Croydon consultation and any other outstanding tenders due for April.

The 304 is linked to the Elizabeth Line I am talking about the 101,262,241,325 and 366 changes.

Tender results tend not to be subjected to purdah - there was a set of tenders announced in the 2016 purdah period and I remember plenty here being very surprised!

Agree, tender process is business as usual. Never heard anyone accusing the mayor or TfL of trying to score political points over the award of a contract to operate a TfL bus route.

Those were specifically straight up tender results with no changes attached to them other than non-consultation things like frequencies. Routes like the 413 couldn’t be announced during purdah as there are changes attached to it which could benefit candidates in the areas it would operate in. So you are almost correct.

I think the W17 will be a split of the W15 somehow, with a least one of these also providing some new links. However, with the timescale of consultations, I could see the current W15 being retendered, with this being split into the two routes during that contract - similar to the 104 & 304 awards.
