Regarding the iBus announcement for the 483, I think TfL have been a bit cheeky and reused an existing announcement for the 'Windmill Lane' stop in Greenford, served by routes 92, 282 and E5. This conflicts the VW's blinds which read 'Windmill Park', whereas on the iBus system, it is 'Windmill Lane, Three Bridges'. Will TfL provide an updated iBus announcement saying 'Windmill Lane, Three Bridges'? Could be a while. TfL are notorious for harvesting announcements from random stop names where possible. The 15, C2 and 3's Regent Street announcement was hilarious as it was taken from the stop name "Regent Street/Hamley's Toy Store" so when it was put as the destination announcement it should sounded ridiculous as you expect her to say something else afterwards. Similarly the EL1's Ilford Station destination announcement was stolen from the stop of the same name (although that one seems to work decently). The Regent Street announcement is hilarious, I always chuckle to myself when hearing, back in the days when social distancing sounded like an alien term 😂. Another really funny one is the 350’s Hayes Asda announcement. I think TfL cut up two different announcements and stuck them together and it sounds really ridiculous.

I wonder whether route 483 will eventually be extended to Syon Lane? Windmill Lane is quite a significant road not to have a bus along most of it. A bus route for the areas around Osterley would be nice as the area can feel quite cut off as well as making it easier for people to reach Osterley Park. I believe there's a garden centre but other than that there isn't much round there - the more useful aspect of a bus route down Windmill Lane would be the handy through route, its a real shame the bridge can't take buses as Windmill Lane provides a nifty link from Ealing Hospital towards Isleworth and I know many who use it to avoid traffic in Hanwell when queues build up at the pinch point crossing the River Brent. It must be frustrating for drivers that despite the E5's terminus being walking distance from GW, buses have to dead run the long way round. There'll be a similar frustration with dead runs to/from Osterley Tesco as buses will have to go the long way round too.
