Indeed, although they seem unable to answer what will happen to the actual buses themselves.

Indeed, although they seem unable to answer what will happen to the actual buses themselves. Left outside to deteriorate in the defunct bit of WH seems to be the answer. I would hope that whatever was the absolute final vehicle to run in will be donated to the London Bus Museum (or the LT Museum) and I suppose there's a healthy sales market still for the others.

Given there is a financial black hole, you'd think keeping them in the best shape possible and seeking out buyers would be one alternative but I guess they're happy to be in deteriorate mode

Would hope the one (or was more done) that had the full refurbishment was saved! Dread to think how much was spent on that bus.

There would definitely be a ready market for sale of all these ten Routemasters - would earn TfL quite a decent sum. Might be worth interested parties approaching TfL with offers to purchase?

I do like "please refer to question 5". Couldn't dodge the questions even better if they tried.
I have to admit I will miss them even on a summer weekend only but realised I realised it couldn't continue.

I rode RM1933 in 2017, almost certainly my final RM. As even the RM replacements have been withdrawn now, and many residents did not even live in London when LTs were mainstream, there seems little point keeping route 15H now. It just would have been nice to have a fitting farewell rather than disappearance by stealth.

I remember when route 65 lost RMs reflecting on how route 65 had RMs from '75 to '85.
