246 - An interesting route in general, would be great on a summer Sunday to visit Chartwell. 313 - LT's on it now make it a really fun route, especially since you can have quite a view into rural London with it. A10 - I mean, a bus on a motorway sounds fun! 491 - The route passes through an island (technically), shopping centres and a business park - quite intriguing. 375 - The end isn't too good, but it would be quite serene and a nice change from the bustling towns. 246 does sound like a good route. Got to be honest didn't really know anything about the 313 until recently and even though I'm not the biggest fan of LTs I'd also like to try out in the near future. At least it's an upgrade from ENX from what I have seen and heard they are horrible.

At least it's an upgrade from ENX from what I have seen and heard they are horrible. They're far better than the ENLs they replaced at DT. It's just a shame they're missing that single seat between the third row and rear doors; don't know why Arriva spec'd them this way, just seems like alot of wasted space. But as I was saying, overall they're decent buses imo. I'd also put the 246 and 313 in the top 5, don't know what my other 3 would be though.

Um one route I have to mention for being in the middle of best to worst is 24. Best because between Chalk Farm and Pimlico, its got nice views and you could get off anywhere and go for a casual shop going through a lot of London’s attractions and main areas. Worst because there is so much traffic you literally cannot go past 15mph on Chalk Farm Road, Hampstead Road, Goodge Street, Cambridge Circus, Whitehall and not sure past Victoria. And also section between Hampstead Heath and Chalk Farm have horrible residents, Queen’s Crescent is known to be quite dangerous and scary, and a lot of racists, avoid at all counts. I got robbed their once sadly.
Do not go on the 24 in the school afternoon/evening peak.

I haven't been on a ENX but some Enfield drivers I have spoken to they hate them.

94 might be a contender...
Best in winter because it’s one of the few routes where you can see the lights down Oxford Street and Regent Street. Also has nice varied scenery from a small local area in Acton Green to one of the most recognisable sights in London at Piccadilly Circus.
Worst because of traffic and loud school kids. Oxford Street is... well Oxford Street so constantly very slow. Marble Arch to Holland Park is fairly quiet but beyond there to Turnham Green it’s got massive queues up to the roundabout, by the green, and Goldhawk Road, whilst it’s got less, still has conflicts by the entry and exit points of bus lanes. Turnham Green to Acton Green, which is usually the quietest section, is getting busy due to the road closures in Chiswick...
Also, Marmit- electrics, which you either love or hate... 😂

For me I would say one of the best routes I've been on probably has to be the W3 especially around Alexandra Palace and Park. The scenery of London from there is so amazing. I'd definitely recommend for people to sit on that bus especially in the spring/summer.

The worst routes I've sat on is the 83 (when it went to Ealing), 296 (when it went to Harold Wood), 474 (in it's early Blue Triangle days), 368 (up until 2016 when it was a single decker), 365 (when it used to go through the dreaded Mard**e Estate *shudders* before it was called Orchard Village).

The 65, 71 & 371 have always been favourites of mine. I find the 65 one of the most picturesque double-deck routes in London. I always liked the Chessington section of the (N)65/71 as well because I remember riding brand new Ms around on that section at weekends. The 371 has unique views at Richmond Hill and runs past Richmond Park, my favourite London Park.
In SE London where I now live, I like the 269, 132, 301 and 122 the most. Again scenery wise for the 269 (Chislehurst and Bexley are nice), I like the section of the 132 between Bexley and Eltham. And the 301 I like, because I think Thamesmead is an interesting, brutal landscape intersped with little rivers and big lakes. Plus it goes up some pretty rural lanes between Abbey Wood and the Belvedere area.
NW London, I like the 18 for its craziness, the 258 for views, and the 251 again for the ride through Totteridge.
I don't get to NE London very much, but have enjoyed the 34 and the 66.
East London, perhaps the 372 for the outer London aspect and the 8 and 15 for inner East London.
Despised routes :
S1 North of Sutton 237 in its entirity 75, again, all of it.

You know the funny thing is that the S1 is well in the upper half of the top 10 most used TFL routes of mine, yet only once have I used it north of Sutton but yes that part of the route isn't particularly nice. Thankfully the southern section is far superior. Nice wide residential roads in South Sutton and the national limit along Sutton Lane through Bnstead Downs where the Metrocities' Mercedes engines show themselves at their best.

Love it when they bomb down the North Circular (this is before rush hour, otherwise it will be a while different and frustrating experience). The 313 goes through some country roads in Potters Bar might want to experience that.

For rural views:
313 - I finally had a run out to Potters Bar on an LT last week and it certainly has a great view from the top deck. Plus imagine having a stop, 'Windrush', named after your house right outside your front door!
320 - Nice views out towards Biggin Hill, especially near the airport.
353 - A favourite for many especially the section between Baston Road and Five Elms Road plus an often fast run along Addington Road.
347 - After Upminster station some nice scenery and fast running out to Ockenden Station.
464 - Including a very narrow country lane section over Saltbox Hill- what would happen if two buses met there is anybody's guess!
Not forgetting the 146 out to Downe and the R8 with some very nice country lane running.

Best routes: 331 (for the scenery) 65 (as above) 111 (particularly Kingston-Hanworth) 107 (for the countryside views)
Worst routes: 228 (areas served apart from Shepherd's Bush-Ladbroke Grove aren't very nice) 32 (straight line bus route, very boring, not nice areas of London) 116 (as boring as the 32, areas slightly better) 423 (it's mostly Heathrow and Hounslow, not much to see there in terms of good views) H32/482 (the section between Southall and Hounslow West is so boring and dreadful) 18 (Maida Hill - Stonebridge Park is particularly ugly)
