Seems like the number of day routes given a 24hr service has been pared back this year: These services are running all night: Whole route: 51, 56, 97, 109, 115, 118, 161, 248, 333, 358, 414, 415, 422, 432 and 476 Part of route: 45, 174, 185, 388 At least TfL have confirmed this detail much earlier than in 2017. TfL have “helpfully” given us a map showing us the bus changes planned for new year’s eve: tfl.gov.uk/bus/status/?Input=&lineIds=&dateTypeSelect=Future%20date&direction=&startDate=2018-12-31T00%3a00%3a00&endDate=2018-12-31T23%3a59%3a59Honestly, it’s like someone decided in a TfL meeting “let’s use Google for our bus maps”, without thinking of the user experience. Such poor execution of a good idea in principle Anyway, wishing you all a safe New Year whether you are out and about bus hunting, partying, or like me indoors either asleep or with a glass of something nice if I’m still awake at midnight 🙂 |

Probably not routes like 97/118/333/415 which already have night routes covering sections of them Maybe 248 because Cranham, Upminster & Hornchurch could do with a link to Central London (N15/N86) and all the other Romford night routes, |

What part of the 174 is running on New Years Eve? Tfl are, as per usual, not very forthcoming with information I only guess, maybe route 174 will not run to Dagenham, Marsh Way CEME and stop there to be terminate at Dagenham, New Road/Kent Avenue only instead. |

As Blackfriars Bridge is closed, I imagine the night 45 will only operate between Elephant & Castle and Clapham Park, and the 388 only between Liverpool Street and Stratford City (although it could start from London Wall).
I'm not sure why the 185 is curtailed as it could get to and from Victoria.

As Blackfriars Bridge is closed, I imagine the night 45 will only operate between Elephant & Castle and Clapham Park, and the 388 only between Liverpool Street and Stratford City (although it could start from London Wall). I'm not sure why the 185 is curtailed as it could get to and from Victoria. I look at last year timetable for route 185 as say stop at Police Station instead of Railway Station. However it may be different this year because it all change in Lewisham area. |

I saw the tfl explain about NYE travels in Central London. Reason is 185 can't go to Victoria cos road closed between Vauxhall and Victoria. Which is prop why part of 185 route run over the night. That road is shown as open on the map I saw, it is the boundary of the cordon. |

Just looked up the status update for route 388, apparently between 19.30 and 06.00 it will operate to and from Holborn! Normal route and stops from London Wall.
As predicted, 45 operates between Elephant & Castle and Clapham Park only from 19.30 until 06.00.
No status updates (yet) for 174 and 185.

Well CT Plus do have Holborn on their E40H Cities for the N550/551 especially for tonight (saw the blindsets change at Gallions Reach last night), so what's the harm in using the Holborn blind for the 388 as well?! Waste not want not  |
