I am nominating Motspur Park for routes 213 and 613 (Worcester Park bound) as the previous stops are 2 minute walks from each other. I would disagree. I see people use this stop all the time, mostly for alighting. You also get people use the stop after getting off the K1 or K5 as it is eaiser than going all the way to New Malden.

Old Marylebone town hall is a new bus stop made specifically for the 2, the after Marylebone station. What a pointless stop and a pain in the arse for drivers. Why place that stop literally 80 yards away from the start point of the route, York Street to Marylebone is 4 minutes walk at the slowest so fitting a stop in between is ludicrous in my eyes. As for the drivers, they have to merge into the bus lane, serve the bus stop and cross three lanes, merging on the right hand lane, all relying on other motorist to giving way. I can imagine it’s annoying for drivers. You deal with one lane and 2 other lanes await. Even if there are no passengers at the new bus stop, they can’t just enter the right hand lane like they use to do when they join Marylebone road It is useful for those that specifically want to travel on beyond Victoria who are on the north side of Marylebone Road near Baker Street. I doubt there are many such passengers which is why not many board bus 2 there.

The new Forest Hill Pools stop in Dartmouth Road towards Forest Hill. The Dartmouth Road/Thorpewood Avenue stop is a short walk away. The other stop further down Dartmouth Road towards Sydenham is fine.

Another one on the 135, 277, D3, D7 and N550 westbound is the stop called Salter street (it’s the one immediately after westferry station and immediately before limehouse police station). The stop is probably 200m from the previous and next stops; and is on a small slip road used by buses only (buses after serving westferry station go through a narrow and bumpy road, serve the Salter street stop and join west India dock road). I have always found it pointless as it’s far from houses and shops; most people coming from houses would board at limehouse police station or at westferry.... ironically I think I have boarded from the stop a few times! But it’s an entirely pointless stopi 277 and D7 don't stop at Limehouse Police Station bus stop that's why I think the Salter Street stop is there but I see where your coming from .

Bellingham Road and Catford Bus Garage stops, no more than 20 seconds ride between the two. Although with the routes that terminate at the garage maybe there is a use for two.

They are both normal bus stops, could be merged into 1 stop. Plus there is the alighting point for the 47, 171 & 199 On fraser road on the 99. Europa Trading Estate & Birch Walk which could easily become one stop instead of two close together.

Slight deviation from the aim of this thread but nevertheless: I wonder what the steepest bus stop in London is?
I nominate Shakespeare Road (towards Hendon) on route 240, though I'm sure there are steeper ones.

Downhill Eglinton Hill 244, used to be the 178 when decker Uphill Brent Road SE18 again 244 was 178 years ago

The 450 bus stops near the top of Spa Hill and the Salters Hill bus stops on Central Hill would be my nominations.

I nominate Chalkers Corner on the R68. Some people get on in the Kew direction, but the really useless one is in the Hampton Court direction. For those that don't know, Chalkers Corner is literally in between two cemeteries and stopping at it in the Hampton Court direction, which the bus rarely does anyway, actually means crossing over a lane of traffic to turn onto the A316. It's rarely ever used and difficult to serve!

322 Highland Road (Upward/Crystal Palace bound) I'd argue that has use, more than either side of Robson Road put together, Clapham bound stop it's very surprising if one opts to get off, as for getting on it's not as much of a shock factor. Likewise other direction to Crystal but there are people who walk and see the 322 in the distance and opt to wait at the stop. Outside that, Robson Road doesn't have much value of it's own for loading/unloading. Highland Road CP-bound in my experiences is the first main alighting point at Crystal Palace for a lot of shops, despite also walking uphill and the next stop is a lengthy distance (as is Robson Rd) so I wouldn't nominate it as pointless as it does generate use, though not most times. It'd be nice if the stop was slightly closer up the hill but no problem as it is.

Yeah, should have mentioned it should be higher up but I agree that Robson Road is useless (only seen max 10 people use it from all the times i've gone past)

292 Moat Mount Park, especially towards Borehamwood. There's NOTHING there... ( StreetView) simply an abyss of tarmac and pollution, with the nearest walkable facility being the next bus stop.
