So ADL selling integral buses to the Chinese Market, yet selling Chinese company's product in the UK?

Moved from Metroline thread. Stated as for an operator called Long Win, fleet numbers AV6X1 & 2 ... registered as ZL7492 and ZL6914 in Sept24 if I am reading it correctly. Don't know enough about HK operators to know it that looks correct visually. Link to video of No1 on YouTube uploaded two days ago ... Unfortunately can't tell for comments whether it is stating it is new or not. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xzjrTPfl7wQ Long Win is part of KMB that operates the airport services to and from the New Territories. The thumbnail looks like the bus is in the KMB livery rather than the Long Win livery of orange, grey and white. You can see a couple of Long Win liveried buses at the beginning of the video. The registration starting ZL indicates it is brand new Many thanks for that information, everyday is an education. After posting the reply, I researched a bit more and discovered LWB and KMB had the same parent company and mainly operated Airport buses, described as luxury! Also saw the buses were in a different livery to others, most in the livery you described, but some in an allover orange livery, although this maybe a former livery that is now extinct. I did note photos of them in July and August unregistered which made me think they were new, but then .... It was interesting that you stated the red livery as being the KMB livery, as one of the comments I put in Google translate mentioned them being transferred which gave me doubts that the were in fact new, but you confirm that the registrations mean they are new ... so maybe LWB was not their initially intended destination.

Didn't see you had moved it here! Will move my answer here too. FYI @silenced Wonder where they got that information from! Everything off the boat in Hong Kong now seems to be MCV-bodied (the new BZL look) -- featuring KMB's heritage livery -- yet to be registered and put into service. The most recent G3-bodied B8L's arrived in 2023 from an order made in 2021.

They are in a premium coach configuration ordered for use a few years back to boost capacity on 2 premium routes... but the pandemic meant that the routes were reduced to peak hours only and the additional capacity was not required, hence why these previously unregistered buses are now in service with LWB. Tl;dr, ordered and delivered in 2022-23 iirc, mothballed due to the pandemic, then transferred to subsidiary and registered and put into service. Not newly delivered Wrighbus-bodied B8Ls! You might similarly see some newly registered Citybus G3 B8Ls (can't remember if they've finally gotten around to putting the entire batch in service). Delivered a couple of years ago, mothballed during the pandemic, only recently have most of the batch been put into service because of new routes now in service.
