Opposite of vague on this one. Why does the 141 have Palmers Green, North Circular Road on its blinds but the last stop is actually Tottenhall Road, (yes it does stop a couple of yards away but where else in Palmers Green would it terminate? The Triangle?). That terminus goes back to the days of sectional operation on the 29 - the 141 inherited the terminus name in the early 2000s. I think the terminus name is descriptive enough - the junction with the NCR is a local landmark. The Bowes Road upgrade work put the Clockhouse Junction name back on the map via new signage so they could even run with that. Equally, Tottenhall Road is a residential street running halfway back to Edmonton so Palmers Green (Tottenhall Road) would be no more informative than the current name. If TfL wanted to help itself it could rename the stop north of the A406 to Palmers Green Bus Garage and give the North Circular Road name to the stops to the south, where the 141 terminates and commences. IIRC that junction also used to be called Palmers Green 'Cock'

Not sure if this has been mentioned but for me the 356 terminus of "Shirley" is very vague. This is because where the bus terminates is no where near the main high street/shopping part of Shirley between the Library and Shirley Inn. In fact it really terminates closer to the main shopping area of West Wickham then Shirley. The only thing that saves that is where it terminates in the Borough of Croydon like Shirley, whilst West Wickham is in Bromley. If the route was a more popular one rather then back streets mainly, more people would get confused. I think it should be renamed Shirley, Monks Orchard Road on the bus blind and ibus like it's known on timetables. Another suggestion could be Shirley, West Wickham and Shirley Baptist Church which itself is a bit of a contradictory or Shirley, Royal Bethlem Hospital or just Royal Bethlem Hospital to promote the hospital not that it needs any promotion but you'd be surprised the amount of people nearby who doesn't know it exist or it's location. However though it doesn't stop in the grounds. But me personally it should be the first one as it's more commonly known as that and the more simpler out of the 3, all the others are just mere suggestions.

Kingston Wandsworth Clapham Junction I can say I agree with this and this is the case for a lot of places in London, for example if bus routes all terminate in one place in that town then fair enough it makes sense to do just on "vague" blind. An example I will use is Elmers End for example - 54 and 289 are the only routes to terminate in Elmers End so it's understandable to have the "vague" name of just Elmers End even though both routes terminate by the Tesco/Station which could be put on blind or ibus to make it clear for passengers, as it could be at Elmers End Green which also has stand space where the 54 and 289 used to stand before the interchange was built, but no current route terminates there right now. If a route gets extended here then this can change to avoid confusion otherwise with me I'm fine with that. However the examples you use makes perfect sense as buses terminate everywhere for example Kingston, some terminate at Fairfield Bus Station, others Cromwell Road Bus Station, others on Kingston Hall Road so there should be a clear distinction on the blind and ibus to prevent passengers getting lost and confused. Also a lot of these towns for example Sutton, Kingston, Croydon etc blinds turned from originally Kingston, Cromwell Road to Kingston to Kingston Town Centre to Kingston,Town Centre for example (I'm pretty sure this wasn't the case for Kingston but definitely Croydon and Sutton where there was no need imo), I feel like it will be better to just do Kingston Town Centre, Cromwell Road as although it might be too long for ibus, this could be shortened and get all the information needed for the passenger on the screen. As there's a difference between Kingston and Kingston Town Centre for example and then the separate places where each route might terminate for example

Nobody ever wanted to get off Can't blame them, such a random turn in the middle of nowhere. When I did the 266 on its last day I got turfed off there, didn't quite know what to do from there apart from wait 15 minutes for the next bus with a bus load of people waiting at the stop. I think the cut has probably done good for the route in the long term, seems to be far better operated now that it's shorter.

Yeah, I agree especially as I don’t like these shorthand destinations in any event - Shirley, Monks Orchard would be my own pick as the area around the traffic lights is known as Monks Orchard IIRC?

I did the 266 a week before the routing/operator change last week and when I heard the destination announcement being changed to Seven Stars Corner (I was doing from Brent Cross to Hammersmith), I only had a rough idea that it's going to somewhere between Acton and Ravenscourt Park.
I also think the changes did help the 266's reliability and also on reliability point of view on buses along Askew Road has somewhat improved despite the controversy of the 218 being a single deck route.

That area is borderline Shirley and West Wickham. I’d go with ‘Monks Orchard’ as Vjaska suggested.

Yeah, I agree especially as I don’t like these shorthand destinations in any event - Shirley, Monks Orchard would be my own pick as the area around the traffic lights is known as Monks Orchard IIRC? Yeah technically that area is Monks Orchard like Dillon95 said but again not a name I hear regularly being used people tend to say either just Shirley or West Wickham. Also Monks Orchard is a vast area which covers technically both the east and west side of Royal Bethlem Hospital so it also includes the Glade and Orchard Avenue which the 367 and 689 serves with it's terminal now just being called Monks Orchard and this is pretty far away from the 356 terminus. Also when the name is used people are usually referring to the Glade and Orchard Way rather than Monks Orchard Road as there's more houses, schools and stuff on that side. So even though it's just a school route could have a blind that says Monks Orchard, The Glade for the school 689 and 367 shorts then Monks Orchard, Monks Orchard Road or Monks Orchard, Bethlem Royal Hospital for the 356. There's even a school called Monks Orchard Primary which is at the end of the Glade more closer to Arena tram stop/Elmers End and Addiscombe then Shirley so this also adds confusion as well.

White City BUS STATION should just be Shepherd’s Bush / Wood Lane Stations in my opinion or like Shepherd’s Bush / Westfield Shopping Ctr (Wood Lane is at the bus station down Ariel Way)
I also feel a Royal Free Hospital qualifier should be added for the 24 and 168 because that is the key destination at Hampstead Heath for both routes, and sometimes people mislead it.
259 also doesnt terminate at Kings Cross Station like the other routes, runs down Caledonian Road, stands at Swinton Street and onto Grays Inn Road, a Grays Inn Road qualifier would be good

Shepherd's Bush, Westfield again would imply it terminates at Shepherds Bush and again, that's not the case. The alighting point is at White City Bus Station and the blind should reflect the alighting point which it does. The only reasonable alternative would be White City, Westfield. Although it's not the alighting stop (which is South End Green), I understand why you say the Royal Free Hospital might be a qualifier given part of the hospital is technically opposite the 168 stand at least For the 259, King's Cross Road, Pentonville Road is the final stop so arguably, that should be the final blind. Gray's Inn Road wouldn't work as that's where the first stop is located and thus isn't served by King's Cross bound buses.
