I think the introduction of route 278 will lead to the Spider map of Hillingdon Station being changed. Before the 278, I think Hillingdon Station was the only spider map that showed only one route (the U2). Can anyone think of any other maps that only have one route on them, or just two? And what is the spider map with the most routes on it (apart from the night bus ones for north, east, south and west London)? I can’t think of another map with one route. The Ruislip Gardens map has only two routes on it, the 114 and E7 and the only place they meet is at Ruislip station

I think you may well have been right about Hillingdon Station being the only one showing a single solitary route. As for the spider map with the largest number of routes, Elephant & Castle is a true monster of a diagram with 44 routes. I'd guess somewhere like West Croydon , Woolwich or Romford would be a runners up but the latter not being in the same style of course.

They might of shoved the 323 in given it gets sort of close?

I have never understood the universal hatred every bus enthusiast has of spider maps (or at least TFL's current ones). I find them extremely useful. I've always loved them.

I've found that the older bus spider maps which actually showed the whole bus route on the map were better, the newer ones which omitt stop names (but still have the dots along the route) and only show a section of the route are not that great. Some maps are a real joke where the route leaves the central street map, showing only a few stops (some without the stop name) and then an arrow is shown to shows that the route continues. One example is the map for 'Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3', it only shows routes 278, X140 and N140 up to Hayes & Harlington Station and only shows the 111 and 140 up to Cranford High Street.

Oh totally agreed, I need to see the whole route.

There's only 2 Spider Maps for the entire Bexley Borough on TFL's website now. And they are only there as they are duplicates from Bromley (Queen Mary's Hospital) and Greenwich (Abbey Wood), being on the border of both boroughs. Several missing from Bromley as well.

Same for Barking and Dagenham, and now they are the new watered down ones as well

It all has to be watered down, to fit in with the useless destination blinds on the buses, which have sod-all information too

Yes I know I live round the corner from it and I was born there. But the spider map covers both Bexley and Bromley because of the Leas Green bus stop.
