So I’m aware lots of routes have their allocations split between two garages, what I don’t know is how much of the routes allocation as at that garages so how do/did the following splits work 7 PV/PA 41 AR/EC 71 FW/TV 86 WH/NS 123 AR/EC (when it still had a split allocation) 137 N/BN 208 TB/TL 216 HH/FW 507 & 521 RA/Q E7 AB/TF

It's buses worked off the N65 or ones that will be going on the N65. 507/521 could be that RA is closed on the weekend but that wouldn't make sense for the 521. The others I'm not sure about.

Camberwell runs 5 buses on the 521 MF and the entire 507 service on weekends. This is due to insufficient space at Waterloo. These buses were formerly based at Mandela Way, but moved to Camberwell when Mandela Way closed.

Aren't some 7 worked off the N7 which is at PA?

Sutton shares the overall 93 and 164 with Stockwell and Merton respectively. The night element of the 36, I believe until very recently, was both New Cross and Peckham....now all New Cross.
The N155 was dual depot operated until very recently when A lost the allocation in relation to the ULEZ.

Always thought metroline night route allocations at HT are odd for example all N91 run from PB apart from one bus.

The 432 has one extra bus on weekdays from Camberwell (Q371), which used to be crosslinked from the 468

256 has morning school workings from NS.
The 5 and 15 early in the mornings and late in the evening used to be split allocated for BW and BK due to N15 being ran from both BK and BW.

22 used to be run from AL on Sunday. Can someone please explain to me Sunday allocations as I just don't get the point of them.

Older ones here but the N159 was run from TH with at least one bus allocated from TC - the 159's evening service was also run by TH. The N133 had a similar arrangement - TC ran the route and also ran the 133's evening service.

22 used to be run from AL on Sunday. Can someone please explain to me Sunday allocations as I just don't get the point of them. Some of these go back to the days of Routemaster operation. By the 1990s most of the remaining RM routes had been converted to OPO (one person operation) using modern buses on Sundays, as Sundays were quieter and didn't justify the expense of a two-person crew. So the Sunday service would be operated by whichever garage had enough spare OPO buses. At Putney on a Sunday all the spare OPO buses were taken up by the 14, so it was left to AL to cover the 22. This situation persisted even after the daily 22 went OPO, I suppose because there was no point in changing the duties just for the sake of it.
In other cases it's just a case of spreading the Sunday work more evenly between garages. Some garages used to have less Sunday work than others, because the routes that they operated on Mon-Sat didn't have a Sunday service, so they were given other work to make up for it. Now that most routes run 7 days a week there are far fewer cases of Sunday allocations being worked from different garages.
