Oh god. Do this person alway go to hospital every day? No! Bet he got freedom pass to go on buses. I'm sure person will be fine. There is still plenty buses links to the hospital from the town centre.

Not every nearby area currently has a direct link to Northwick Park Hospital, and many passengers will already have to change buses. Harrow Bus Station provides an easy hub to do so, with very frequent services to/from the hospital when you combine the 182, 223, 483, H9/H10 and H14. Many hospitals in London do not have an equivalent of Harrow Bus Station.

There is still plenty buses links to the hospital from the town centre. For the elderly or someone with mobility issues, changing buses isn't easy. It's different if the link wasn't there in the first place but it is and roughly 300 people travel to the hospital so I completely understand that particular complaint. The fare one not so much as likely most won't even live an hour away anyway and said person probably wasn't aware of the hopper fare. |

The article says he lives in Edgware so I understand his point. Edgware hospital gets reduced to provide only local community services and not full hospital services so he ends up having to go to Northwick Park, from where the bus connection will now be removed.

That could be a sticking point as Edgware is in the catchment area of Northwick Park following historical changes at Edgware General. Could we see a swap between the H14 and 186 with the H14 terminating at Harrow instead? |

Perhaps the 340 could have been an alternative to extend to Northwick Park Hospital. It is a shorter route than the 186, but maintains links towards Wealdstone, Canons Park and Edgware. The 340's frequency is not quite as high as the H14, but would be no different from the existing 186. Though not entirely related to Northwick Park Hospital, I would also make some changes to the Harrow Weald to Harrow corridor, which is possibly overbused. I would reroute the 182 over the H14 route to Hatch End instead (with the H14 withdrawn) - the section over Harrow View could do with increased frequency as more housing developments are being built. The 258 and 340 could perhaps then be increased in frequency slightly to compensate. |

That's silly, a key changeover is lost at Harrow Weald Bus Garage. |

The H14 route works in its current form providing a reliable link from Harrow & Northwick Park Hospital to the corridor right up to Headstone Lane & Hatch End. It was double decked due to increased demand and currently copes fine AFAIK - if extra demand comes, it would be better simply increasing the H14 rather diverting a route that is prone to unreliability due to heavy traffic in Wembley & Neasden. Short routes are just as much as important as more longer ones. |

That's silly, a key changeover is lost at Harrow Weald Bus Garage. The H18/H19 would still serve Harrow Weald Bus Garage in this proposal. But would go along the High Road in the opposite direction to now. |

With my proposal to a) extend the 340 to Northwick Park to compensate for the 186 change and b) reduce the routes along the Harrow Weald corridor, the only alternative would be to terminate both the 182 and H14 at Harrow Bus Station, where there is insufficient stand space. The 182 manages fine at the moment, and Harrow View suffers far less traffic issues than the route through Wealdstone. |
