Think we might just have achieved 22C in my neck of the woods today - Kirsty Wark's remark on Newsnight that it was really hot from Land's End to John O' Groats a bit wide of the mark, but granted it may have been a tad warm in London and the S.E.

Buses not disrupted because drivers risk their health in order to keep their job. Not completely true , I know of instances where buses turned to garages for comfort breaks yesterday and with union support although I am somewhat surprised that there is no uniformity on the relaxing of uniform rules in the Summer with some operators allowing shorts and no ties and others insisting on full uniform or you get sent home.

I'm surprised that no-one has mentioned the chaos at King's Cross, St Pancras International (fortunately not HS1) and Euston yesterday afternoon and evening. Overhead power line failures caused massive delays at all three stations, and some trains had to be evacuated onto the running lines.
The 16.00 London King's Cross - Aberdeen is normally due at its destination around 23.00. This morning it finally rolled in at 04.06.

Although the Eurostar technically didn't go completely unscathed, a power failure in Belgium resulted in the trains there getting stuck in the scorching heat.

To be fair, I mentioned all of those incidents as they unfolded in a post on the first page of this thread. The incident at Belsize Tunnels between Kentish Town & West Hampstead suspended all services out of St Pancras sent Thameslink services that ran via Canal Tunnels into disarray which affected services on the GN with displaced drivers and stock up until the Close of service, Hornsey EMUD was full of displaced stock which should have been stabled at other Sidings. King's Cross was full off Late running LNER services which brought late-running GN services to stack up until services departed back North or Empty to Bounds Green and Bounds Green. There were two dewirements Between Peterborough and Doncaster over the last few days all TOCs serving the ECML have been in CSL2 Black status. This morning the OHL's came down at West Hampstead Thameslink in the same vicinity as yesterday. On a personal note, I drove one of the few services to leave Kings Cross yesterday evening to Cambridge, my 8 car 700 was full and standing within minutes, had double figures get off at stations such as Ashwell & Mordon and Shepreth usually quite quiet stations. Was held up leaving Welwyn GC waiting for trains to pass me at Digswell and again at Letchworth for an ESR caused by the OHL's sagging. Got to cambridge over 30L and was asked to run back towards London almost immediately, although my journey from London was 2 hours, had a bare minimum break as I had no relief and now, i've got to go and do it all again now!

I hope you are not risking the health and safety of your colleagues, passengers and other road users "in order to keep your job". I do not want to be on your bus if you are not fit to drive it. Nah I am alright, but a lot of drivers are struggling in this weather, especially the ones driving ancient buses like TA and so on. I was on several buses yesterday all of which were extremely unpleasant due to heat. It was clear the drivers were suffering, indeed one driver of a bus I was on had exhausted his water supply, so he got out of the bus at a bus stop (leaving passengers on-board) to go into the local store next to the stop to buy cold water. Given the conditions on the bus I have every sympathy with the driver, though no doubt he broke some rule or other in doing this. Sometimes needs must.
Having said that the bus concerned should have had an air-conditioned cab for the driver and certainly I could not evidence the air-conditioning was working. In this weather TfL should enforce a rule that no bus should leave a garage without whatever air-conditioning / air-cooling it has for the driver and passengers fully working. This would force bus companies to maintain air conditioning and air cooling systems.
