I nominate the most important route in South East London. The 53 of course!

I think the 29 would be a good candidate but it just got retained and i guess the buses arent the worst but can often be dirty.
The W3 would be a nice route for electrics too.

Honestly those HVs are going to look so old around Trafalgar Square in 4 years time as even now they stand out with all other routes around there having pretty new buses.

Yeah i agree, the 29 is my local and all the other pretty buses and then you just got the 29. The 88 had a downgrade too, but had a half MMC allocation so 50/50.

The 88 going from those horrible stuffy LTs to relatively good E400s? That's anything but a downgrade in my eyes!

They'll only be the same age as the LTs on the 9 and 24 which will probably still be running then.

Ok fair enough but they'll still stand out compared to the LTs as with LTs there's a lot around that area which you can't say them same about the HVs.

The 88 going from those horrible stuffy LTs to relatively good E400s? That's anything but a downgrade in my eyes! Ok true true, but I prefered the 88 LTs over the 24 LTs a lot! Much cleaner and just felt more cosy in my eyes. I still do not prefer the 24 or 27 LTs and would happily take the 29/134. I do not like the E400Hs because they are always scruffy on the 88, but the MMCs are nice. Would be nice if it had a full allocation. RANT: I LOVEDDD the 27s little days with the LT6** from when the 211 moved to London United. THE GOOD DAYS! The 134’s electrics feel so weird now, lowkey ugly at the back with the window and how low the blind number is. Also the 134 feels like a residental route after the cutback to Warren Street, because it just about reaches Zone 1 at Warren Street. Mornington Crescent is in Zone 2.

To be honest I forgot the LTs where the same age as the HVs as it certainly doesn't look like that.

For their age they do look in good Nick WN do a good job looking after them they look exactly the same as from New.

I'm not saying that WN don't look after them I wouldn't be able to say whether they do or not because I don't use the route all I'm saying is that they look older compared to the other buses around that area. For example when the 220 had TAs around for a bit those looked older than all other buses in the Hammersmith area but that's not to say RP didn't look after them.

I really like the 88's mixed allocation of E400Hs and MMCs which I think makes it a pretty good route to use regularly.
