Found an anomaly with the extension to Potters Bar. It's cheaper to go from Dagenham Heathway (my Local stop) to Potters Bar ( £3.30 with an adult oyster) via Harringey than from Finsbury Park (costs £4.20)

I wonder when Sevenoaks will get it.

Extension to St Albans, Harpenden & Luton Airport Parkway will be by end of year. The shuttle bus from parkway to the airport is already taking Contactless payments already I wonder if Stanstead and Southend airport will gain extensions in the future as there classed as London Airports or at least Contactless payments

From today Contactless Payment has been extended to St Albans City, Harpenden and Luton Airport Parkway. The shuttle bus has been accepting Contactless Payments for a few months now - Oyster will not be extended beyond Radlet. Contactless payment is also accepted on EMR services

I wonder when Sevenoaks will get it. I’d like some of the SWR stations in Surrey to get Oyster myself. Sadly I doubt any of those stations, or Sevenoaks, is likely to get Oyster anytime even vaguely soon.

The consensus seems to suggest that from now on, any additions will be Contactless only.
The Oyster card currently only has the capacity for 15 zonal fare charts. 9 conventional zones and 5 bolt on ones for various peripheral anomalies takes us to 14. Crossrail was intended to occupy the last spot although that too has now been abandoned in favour of Contactless only West of West Drayton.

Yeah it does seem it’s likely only Contactless extensions from now on, another extension that should happen is it being extended to both Stanstead and Southend Airports as there both classed as London Airports and would bring all London Airport Stations accepting Contactless

I wonder when Sevenoaks will get it. I’d like some of the SWR stations in Surrey to get Oyster myself. It took an age just to get Epsom added. Though I wish to nominate: Epsom — Leatherhead, Feltham — Windsor, Feltham — Weybridge, Hampton — Shepperton and Surbiton— Weybridge. That covers a lot more of the metro area, and would certainly be a draw for Windsor Castle, Sandown, Brooklands and Thorpe Park SE and other TOCs seem to prefer to push their smartcard as the main payment method. That said I’ve heard the Key is meant to be quite good.
