Out of pure curiosity, which route do you personally use the most? For me it would have to be: 1. 204/302 * 2. 32/142/251 * 3. 324 4. 114/292 * 5. 221/240 * 6. 107 7. 186 8. 303 9. 288 * - Just means I can't decide which to put, as I use all roughly the same amount Since creating this list, I'd say the 186 has now climbed to the 3rd spot, so is now joint with the 324 - As I can use it 2-3 times a week now. The 183 also now deserves a spot on this list at number 6. So my new list is: 1. 204/302 2. 32/142/251 3. 186/324 4. 114/292 5. 221/240 6. 183 7. 107 8. 303 9. 288

Currently 1. 321 I use this to get to work everyday. I also use it to get to Eltham and every so often Lewisham.
2. 269 I use this to get to both Bromley and Bexleyheath several times a week.
3. 233 My back up for getting to and from work if it comes before the 321. Also use it to get to Swanley often.
4. 229 My second option for getting to Bexleyheath.
5. 51 I use this to get to Orpington.
6. B14 The most handy option for getting to Bexleyheath as I live on one of the Hail and Ride sections. Getting the timing right can be tricky though, and if it's chucking out time at Cleeve Park School it's a no no.
7. 96 I change onto this to get to Dartford and Bluewater.
8. 286 My back up for getting to Eltham, and sometimes I go to Greenwich.
9. 119 I change onto this to get to Croydon.
10. R11 My back up for getting to Orpington.

H14 -|- most direct route to Harrow on the Hill H18/H19 -|-slightly longer route which I’ll sometImes take if it’s coming first 182 -|- even longer route, but a more peaceful journey and walk, as I use it north of Harrow H12 -|- when not going to Harrow, e.g. to Stanmore
Others I use occasionally: 140 340 258 59 390 24 38
Used to take the 10/13 fairly often but no longer for obvious reasons. Nowadays when I’m in central I tend to stick to the tube most of the time, and don’t use buses there nearly as often as I used to. Main reason being congestion.

In London the 123, surprise surprise, would come in at number 1. The next would be Chingford Rd routes from the Central or to the supermarket - 34, 97, 215, 275, 357.
In years past the 212,EN 251 and 275 were commuter time routes so well used.
Beyond those local services I've used routes all over London but as with many others on here use in Central London has plunged in recent years.
Sadly I have not been on public transport for months and am unlikely to ever do so again. It's a very strange feeling that something so familiar has simply stopped being viable.

(303 used to be more before the changes of September last year, which made the route useless for me)

Yes I was going to comment that at the bottom but refrained. But seeing as you commented on that I’ll give you some background as to how. Unlike most other lists which are concentrated in one area mine are scattered all over. So I don’t actually live in London, but I have a lot of friends (and family who moved pretty recently) in London from university so I use lots of their bus routes very often, being the 115, 277, 425, 25 and 205 (and the 432 which comes in at a close 11th). Not to mention I on average I visit once a fortnight-ish and come down with family a lot too. Tonight was the first time I sat down and worked out my most used routes. I knew the 25, 131 and C10 were the top three in that order but I didn’t know the rest. I was incredibly surprised the 14 was fourth (thought it would be way lower down than that) but that’s because I’ve been used it loads and loads years ago, me and my grandad came down all the time and used it to get to Harrods, the Science Museum and Hyde Park. We used it loads back in the day hence it being so high up but I’ve barely used it the past couple of year’s, obviously because of how slow it’s become. Such a shame as I love the 14. The 25 is top because of a mix of things. Back in the day when the VNs were new I was obsessed with ticking off as many of the 65 BJ11 VNs as possible (to date I’ve done 31/65 so pretty good going), one of my friends lives in Bow also on the 205 route as well as the 25 (hence why the 205 also ranks highly), and whenever I visit London I park/get the train to Stratford so it always starts there so very often starts with the 25 into Central London. The 131 unsurprisingly comes in second, due to me having friends and family in Kingston. So sometimes I come down for days/weeks at a time and this is where I stay, so the 131 could be described as my de-facto local route if you like. No surprise I use this route loads. The 135 is high up because I went to university in a completely different part of the country (Canterbury, hence my knowledge of the East Kent network), so being so close to London from there meant I came down nearly every weekend. When I did so I parked along the 135 route so for a good while that was a very heavily used route of mine. Now I’ve finished uni my 135 usage has unsurprisingly dropped off somewhat. I have a very close affinity to the C10 as this was the first ever London bus I ever went on, and this was just four days after Abellio took on the route back in 2011 (Hence why I’ve always been very keen for Abellio to retain the C10 in previous tenders). Anyway for reasons I don’t wish to discuss on a public forum there is a considerable place of interest along this route which I visit very often hence being my third most used route, not to mention being a route that is very dear to me. The 94 is there just because of how often me and friends have used it to get to Westfield in Shepherd’s Bush. There you have it The decision to make this thread was a stroke of genius if you ask me, it’s not something (and generated some very interesting findings) I would have sat down to work out if it wasn’t for this
