If only a famous alcohol could make a bus depot.
I would love to see .
158 and all other routes back at London Forest and WW garage. I do miss that growing up. With the Titans.

If I was in charge of the fleet at Goahead London after the PVR Cuts I would transfer EH6-13 to Bexleyheath to replace EN29-36 if the 321 and 436 are getting MHV'S and transfer WVL282-295 to Merton and to replace WVN26-39 and then withdraw WVN40-45 When WVL276-281 they became avalible when the 132 gets its EE'S and River Road School Routes get's WHV's and then transfer WHV43 and 44 to Croydon to replace WHV70 and 80 and then transfer them to Sutton with WHV81,104, 107 108, 165-167 then transfer EH113,166 and 214 to Newcross to replace WHV43,44 and 107

Likewise I miss that garage with a passion. I have worked amongst many ex [WW] drivers, engineers, controllers over the years, sadly many do not have as fond memories of it, apart from a small few. I think the ending with the strikes have tarnished it a bit. One wonders what would have been operated from there if it were still around today.

I wish 259 had WVNs again I liked them on the route and theyre the only reason why I like the 476 They seemed boring. I am not a fan of the B9TL purely down to no kickdown. It just seems so lethargic on acceleration. I can imagine it must have great potential though as it has a bigger engine than the B7TL and that was fast with kickdown. The First interior purple faded badly so looked dated in the last months that the 259 was run from [NP]

I’m just imagining in an alternate reality what it’s like if it had old First vehicles while at NP during its First days.

I'm pretty sure that if Forest had survived, only one of WW and T would have been kept open. Remember this was a time when garages were closing all over the place in order to make the subsidiaries as "lean" as possible.

I can understand the boring aspect of them but they generally treat hills like flat roads and easily go up them with little effort. I personally like them after originally disliking them

I personally like them after originally disliking them I really cannot remember any that has had kickdown enabled, the fact it does not make that sweet spot screaming sound like the B7TL when hitting 2500 rpm+, even better when they touched 3000rpm (music to my ears)

It was the garage they was going to close. I think at the time [T] had less space than [WW]. It was planned to keep [AG] for the central London routes and [CT]. In the end, it ended up being [WW] being culled and annoyingly knocked down for houses. Almost every-time I go past there ever since it fills me with sorrow. As you say at the time about conditions. If [WW] was kept running on the cheap as they planned, it would have suppressed wages badly. It would have been harder to do the same at [T] which had more central routes in the same way. [T] was luckily after being linked up to the East London subsidiary, which then after did away with different paying duties to a flat rate as per Centrewest.

I had a more entertaining driver up Haverstock Hill in a B7TL
