Another inconsistancy I don't like is whether or not the word 'Station' is used when a bus terminates at a station. For example it's 'Orpington Station', 'Eltham Station' and 'Lewisham Station' on the routes that terminate at those stations. But it's 'Bromley North', 'Beckenham Junction' and 'West Croydon' for buses that terminate at those stations. It irritates my OCD especially on routes like the 162 where both start and finish at stations but only one of them says it on the blind.

In south east London you have to know your hospitals. Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Plumstead Common) Queen Mary's Hospital (Sidcup) Especially when coming from Greenwich as the 286 goes to Queen Mary’s and the 386 goes Queen Elizabeth!! Used to get loads of confused people getting off my 286 because they hadn’t read the blinds properly. (Even worse before the days of ibus) Last time I did the 492 there was a post office in Foots Cray but that was several years ago. And finally I think the 126 should be changes to Bromley High Street. Used to get a lot of peeed off commuters that didn’t like having to walk down to the station because most people associate the term “Bromley South/North” with the stations Some 126's have 'Bromley, Town Centre' blinds now, but not all of them.

Ah ok. It’s been 4 years since I drove a 126 when I left MB in 2015. I probably should have done some research before I posted that!!

Something I'd like to see changed is the Ilford blind mess, though locals know that 'Ilford' terminating buses terminate at Hainault Street, I have seen quite a few people not local that ask 'Which bit of Ilford does this bus terminate at?' or similar remarks. I believe blinds for Ilford should be: Ilford, Hainault Street Ilford Broadway Ilford Station I'm not too keen on the Ilford Hill blind as buses blinded for that either terminate at Ilford Station (EL stand) or Ilford Broadway anyway. I prefer seeing ILFORD as it was back in the 80's, proper LT style, lol other blinds being ILFORD HILL and that is it, nothing else.

Are the bus operators free agents about describing termini or do TfL have any say? As I understand it, TfL specify in the tender document what the blinds say. This would explain the lack of consistency if different people write the tender document Trouble is that many do not follow it, i.e CT Plus. They always seem to use their own destinations instead of the tender document. Check the route record for the blind descriptions to be used.

The 432 is a very good example of this - 'Anerley Station' is its blind for Anerley which only has one turning point yet Brixton has to make do with 'Brixton' despite having multiple turning points and being a bigger area in size.

Its even worse when there isn't consistency between routes which terminate at the same place. For example, the 79 describes its Edgware terminus as 'Edgware Station,' but all the other routes terminating at Edgware just describe it as 'Edgware.'

The one that bugs me is "Becontree Green Lane" for the 62 and 145 curtailment at Becontree Martin's Corner.
Green Lane is about a mile away from Martins Corner. The 62 generally runs dead from Martins Corner to Faircross to pick up line of route.
Whilst on the subject of Faircross, it also bugs me the blind for "Barking Garage" is now "Fair Cross" where its actually Faircross, with the shops close by being on Faircross Parade

Barking Garage is nowhere near London Road I imagine you mean Longbridge Road I think the issue TfL probably have with the Barking Garage qualifier is the fact there are three garages in Barking. The 62 effectively passes DX as well while the EL3 passes RR so could cause confusion on those two routes. The issue here is that as you said nobody will know where Faircross is unless they're a local. I think "Barking, Faircross" would be the best compromise.

Apologies, I indeed meant Longbridge Road - couldn't Barking Garage, Longbridge Road suffice as then it's narrowed down to one particular spot?

I think Kingston could do with some qualifiers on the blinds and iBus, I can think of 4 different termini there where the blinds and iBus just display Kingston for each one
