Ah, very good that if this petition doesn't stop them from being refurbished, the change isn't going to be permanent and will last until Summer 2020, I'd much rather have disruption for that short period of time than have the Central Line continue to be worn down and more faults occurring, a good refurbishment and mechanical work would really do the Central Line good especially as it will not be receiving new trains for at least another 8 years.

The 1992s are so due a refurb, the tatty old things. Hopefully we can get over the tiring obsession they have with the Barman moquette (or go for a red based barman look... AT LEAST).
Earlier peaks are starting to get a lot busier (the Vic was hell this morning), so it’s good to have an increase then. Though I do feel Epping loses out we have to make the best of resources as much as possible while the trains go to refurb... and at the risk of being called a moron by people at DistrictDave’s forum 😂
The Vic is getting a new timetable starting Monday 4th, with the 36tph running for 3 hours in the morning and evening peaks.

Would have been nice if the Jubilee Line got its own shade all round as just having the priority seat in the silver barman looks quite odd. Hoping this refurb is better than the previous refurb, the last refurb these trains had didn't really feel like a refurb but rather a quick moquette change that doesn't suit the train and a freshen up.

I know the Jubilee and Northern Line are different but amazing how many different sets of seats(Especially the Jubilee) / refreshes these trains have had compared to the Central line.
A shame there are no older trains stocks that could be used on the Woodford Hainualt shuttle. Wouldn't work now anyway because of the signalling system.

It can't be unfair that stations in Essex get penalised slightly by these changes, given the state of TfL's finances. Compared to many places just outside the London area they have a marvellously frequent service, into the heart of the City and West End to boot.

True, and once the refurb plan is complete there will be enough trains to bring the service back to what it was previously... and the potential for a slight increase when the new trains come.

The Northern Line has had just one refurb on the existing stock AFAIK? The 1992 stock became my joint fave alongside the 72 stock after the 67 stock left so hopefully it gets good treatment

The Bakerloo or Piccadilly versions of the Barman moquette could work well for the Central Line interior. Also, I'm guessing the W&C Line's 1992 are unaffected by this refurbishment?

This only affects the Central Line as it stands, the Waterloo & City Line will continue as it is.

Interestingly I've found some 73 stock's actually feature the blue barman moquette. They do, however the shade of blue on the 73s is different to the shade used on the Jubilee, Central and Northern Lines.
