With the new housing developments around Mill Hill East, perhaps it's time it got a night bus, at least at weekends, once the night tube comes back if they restore the 24hr weekend routes? Mill Hill East probably won't get night tube itself as it didn't have it before. What would be the best way to achieve this? Potential options: 382 to link with Finchley Central night tube, but would probably struggle with demand on other sections at night as very residential 240 to link with Golders Green night tube, also brings in Mill Hill Village and Mill Hill Broadway 221 is walking distance from West Finchley night tube Extend 139 from Golders Green to Finchley Central at night, then via Dollis Road to terminate at Mill Hill East station. Passes both Golders Green and Finchley Central night tube. Thoughts? The 221 doesn't have the demand unlike other major orbital routes i.e 34 and 102 particularly as there is already a night service routing between Wood Green and New Southgate. There are other option ideas on diverting the 13 to Mill Hill East from Finchley Central linking directly to the West End. Extend the 13 at night from North Finchley to Mill Hill East via route 221? Running round North Finchley bus station in both directions?

My idea on it involves diverting off Finchley Central onto Dollis Road to enable a more direct route taken coming Central London whilst duplicating the Northern Line at the same time from Finchley Central. Doing a run via North Finchley and the 221 route may create excessive running times, routings are more indirect.

Running it via West Finchley is the better option with it perhaps turning off at Frith Lane onto Inglis Way (perhaps double-running around the 382 terminus) before then continuing on the 382s LOR to perhaps terminate at Mill Hill East.
I think the 221 is still more sensible, if anything it's North London Orbital-style routing makes it more attractive for those needing to travel across North London & the interchange with the N91 between Arnos Grove & Turnpike Lane Station shouldn't hamper the route too much in regards to loadings.

N7 should be extended from Northolt via Eastcote to Ruislip currently unnerved by Night Bus. Alternatively reroute at Yeading to run via West End Road to Ruislip as per E7

34 and 123 converted to full 24hr operation. The first and last buses depart around 4:30am and finish at 1:30am approx and they seem to collect a bit of passengers at them times. Areas like Edmonton, Tottenham, Walthamstow and Ilford can be really busy.

N6: extended from Willesden Bus Garage to Ealing Broadway via route 297 to Ealing Broadway. To link Perivale with Central London at Night. N297: the night service of the 297 discontinued.

Would the N98 drivers benefit from an Extension to Edgware for better facilities as I don’t think they have access to the station toilets at Stanmore.

Can’t drivers just request from there controller to run light to Edgware or where that has facilities? Should extensions be for the sake passengers to take them to new destination and not for the drivers. Shouldn’t drivers have access to facilities 24/7?

The timetable for the N98 on Sundays to Thursday nights is tighter with, at most, 13 minutes to form the next Holborn departure after arriving at Stanmore so it is quite tight to get to Edgware and back for the toilets. This shouldn’t be that much of an issue on Friday and Saturday nights with around 25-30 minutes stand time
