From routes that I know would say the 120, with the N120 being extended to Harrow Bus Station for extra links. The 81 as this could be heavily used by airport staff. Ditto the X26, also restoring the link between Kingston and Croydon at night.

N188 to Camden would be good. I think Hampstead Heath has enough with the N5 and N24. That said thou with the Night jubilee and Overground at Canada water the area has quite alot of night routes which may end up up for review. 3 routes now from CW is quite excessive so I'd look to maybe restore the N47 to its former routing at both ends as the night LO has taken alot of the Shoreditch traffic from the (N)47. Or an N129 from N Greenwich to Lewisham then maybe replacing the N199. Please, God no! I've been a regular along the Jamaica Road corridor since 2012 and I don't want to go back to the days of waiting ages for the old N47 at London Bridge to see the bus arrive jam packed and leave without picking up any passengers. The 24 hour 47 has added much needed capacity to the north Bemrnondsey area [at weekends] and is still relatively well used when compared to other 24 hour night routes. A night bus doesn't need to be over capacity to be deemed a success; TfL had that view at the turn of the century up till the Olympics, thank the heavens they left some of the PVR increases on the N15 and old N35 for example after the games ended in September 2012. redexpress' N188 idea does sound really lucrative. I'm sure Joe and Jenny Public would love a direct route from the two busy night hubs of Camden and Elephant & Castle especially at weekends, and it'd likely be quicker than the Night Tube where passengers at Elephant would currently have to go to Waterloo to catch the train at weekends.

I was thinking more that restoring the N47 would provide quicker journeys south of Lewisham. Swinging round Pepys Estate and via Greenwich on the N199 is longer then the N47.

I think the 235 is in need of a 24 hour service. Being on of the busiest single decker routes in London it deserves to be a 24 hour route and makes good links with Sunbury, Feltham, Hounslow, Isleworth and Brentford. I don't think there is any 24 hour service in the Feltham to Hounslow section or the Hounslow to Brentford section.

The N9 parallels the 237 between Hounslow and Stamford Brook so there would be an overlap with an (N)235 between Brentford and Hounslow. Feltham has the 285 atleast which links it with Hatton Cross and Heathrow.

Does anyone know why the 75 night service was withdrawn? Obviously, numbers come into it, but was it because they dropped (dramatically, or less so) or that the expected take-up never came? Also, was 'safety' (of passengers and staff) a factor? I always feel you have to make twice the case to restore something that was seen as a failure before, without extenuating circumstances. The 75’s night bus status was dropped when Metrobus took over the contract for the route. Though when it went back to Stagecoach at Catford. They should have restored it in reality.

It isn't the operator's choice whether or not to run a night service; it's entirely up to TfL. If TfL had wanted to restore the night service, it could have been done at any time, not necessarily tied to a change of operator.

There was talk of a second consultation on regards to night buses (the first being for the night tube routes) but it never materialised. I'm guessing it would have been more of a thinning out rather then new links.

407 weekend night service as the route it uses from Sutton to Croydon has no 24 hour service.
X26 possibly, but as flights at Heathrow don’t operate 24 hours a day this is probably the reason why.

If I lived along the X26 route I wouldn't mind it running 24-hours for the airport as it would allow me to get there early for even the earliest flights, which is something I try to do anyhow in an attempt to maximize on holiday/family time abroad.

An option for a 24 hour service was available to take up by the winning bidder back in 2016 but Metrobus decided not to take it up IIRC
