The 114, 183 & W7 Friday/Saturday night tube 24hr service should be extended to all week round.

Im a little confused by what that means too, but I think what he means is making the N199 a full daytime route. Ie a daytime 199 route running from Trafalgar Square to St Mary Cray Station, so nothing would happen to the solo Bromley to SMC section. I had to double take too as I thought he meant get rid of the N199 and just keep the current 199 from Canada Water to Bellingham a 24hr route

I was always hopping for the 240 but as I have been on the 0105 it’s not really in demand plus Mill Hill/ The ridgeway Residents would probably complain. So maybe the 221 as I am sure those living in the new flats in Mill Hill East have a night life plus it links Edgware to North Finchley at night and then onto Turnpike Lane. N260 should be considered as a potential night service from Golders Green to either White City or slightly extended N142 on Weekends only but not terminating at Brent Cross instead it could terminate at West Hendon Broadway perfect for Hertfordshire Uni Students wanting to go on a rave. 340 on Weekends because of Cannons Park 245? 186? yet again not starting from Brent Cross, Starting from Hendon Centra, Buses would stand in Hendon, Brent Green (aka Water Brook Lane Bus Stand) could be a vital link for Northwick Park Staff N102 (This would still run but between Edmonton, Golders Green and Maybe Swiss Cottage) If Metroline were up for it, they could potentially make it so only a few buses a night from Victoria to Watford Junction, with the majority terminating at Edgware, however I couldn't see Hertfordshire getting that much usage. There's a big thing and that is - when you take a night bus you have to expect to walk. The 340 wouldn't work as a night route as the N18 covers Harrow - Harrow Bus Garage at a moderately high frequency (20 min) and there are already night connections on 3 night routes from Central London at Edgware. It's very unnecessary to have a route just serve canons park when it doesn't even serve the suburbs and residentials of Canons Park. There is the night tube which does that. The N5 & N18 would cover pretty significant distances on the N186, the N18 covers it from Northwick Park Hospital to Harrow & Wealdstone and the N5 covers it from your idea from Hendon, Brent Green to Edgware. Now don't get me wrong, the distance between Edgware and Wealdstone is far, if residents were needing it, an extension to the N5 would be adequate to Harrow Weald, Bus Garage. This would be an "if absolutely needed" decision. I'm quite for a 24 hour 245, serves many areas that aren't served by night routes so I'm all for it. I'm quite for an N245 but would it get adequate usage. An N260 wouldn't work particularly as how much is covered by other night routes. If the 245 becoming 24 hour was a thing, it would cover it to Cricklewood, the N266 would cover it *all the way to Harlesden* which is also served by the N18 at 10 minute frequencies. North Acton to Harlesden is within walking distance of around 20-25 minutes from the N266, which is averagely what it should be. The N7 serves East Acton and in very close proximity to the 260, and then the last part is covered by the N207. With 3 Central London night buses covering the route, it'll be indirect and in my opinion, a very useless route. That is a terrible idea. The N102 idea, again, won't work. I'd like a renumber of the (N)102 to being N102 as it doesn't cover the entire route for a significant distance. Having said that, there was no N65 when the 65(N) went to Chessington and the 148 doesn't have an N148 Despite it terminating at White city. Thanks

Is there any reason the day 148 doesn't go back to White City? Theres no real major roadworks along the route now. For operational reasons I guess it running to S is better.

I don't see why it needs to go to White city in the evening - it could be nice to go back there fully but they are possibly cutting the 207 to Shepherds Bush Green (which I'm strongly against as that is probably where appeal for the route is at Westfield), which could mean they may think Shepherds Bush - White City is overbussed. Interestingly - they may use the 148 stands for the 207 if it were to be cut back with the 148 extended to White City via the old 207.

The 207 will still serve the Shepherd's Bush stops, which is where the much bigger entrance to Westfield is located, barely anyone boards the route at White City Bus Station in comparison. White City Bus Station now is pretty much obsolete, for most routes the time wasted just running there and back is just not worth it compared to the amount of passengers that they pick up there. Not to mention they then have to run a substantial distance back to their stands and then reverse into them wasting yet more time.

And if the 148 is still serving White City past midnight then what is the point in not just having the 148 all day terminate at Shepherds Bush?

The 207 will stand at exactly the same stand now, which is actually closer to Shepherd's Bush than White City which shows how ridiculous the stand arrangement is. It will still serve the busiest entrance to Westfield. The 148 only goes to White City past midnight because when it was initially cut back it was due to roadworks in Central London which would obviously have less of an impact at night, back then Westfield also wasn't as big as it is now. Since then the roadworks have finished but TfL seem to have just carried on with the Shepherd's Bush terminal arrangements, there's also been plenty of other routes which have ended up with the same fate like the 15 and 8.

The 49 and C1 normally sees 0 passengers from Shepherds Bush to White City. In fact the last time I went on the C1 the driver looked surprised that I was actually going all the way 😁.

If TFL wanted to reduce bus mileage then surely they would cut it to Shepherds Bush like the daytime route 148 as I can't imagine there being much patronage, as it's all within walking distance from shepherds Bush station.

When the contract for the 94 was extended and the route was potentially going to be reviewed along with the 228 tfl may have wanted to keep the option open for extending the 148 to Acton Green had they decided to remove the 94 altogether. As it turned out the 94 was re tendered with no changes made to it thou the PVR was open ended no doubt as it hadn't been decided if it would cut to Marble Arch.
