Have to say, I find it a tad ironic how in another topic, you say elude to the fact TfL is actively trying to discourage people from the network but yet your in favour of something that will worsen interchange between bus & the station like how it is currently is where buses are strewn everywhere across Victoria rather than meeting in one place which is the hallmark of an important interchange. I thought we should be encouraging people to use the bus more especially when we have an overcrowded tube & train network that will grind to a halt at some point yet this idea will not do anything for bus passengers who yet again have no voice and are shoved to the back. I don't see how this is anything more than a minor inconvenience at the very most to bus users, nobody seemed to bat an eyelid about the 16 and 52 stop being relocated. You just wouldn't see, rose tinted glasses comes to mind. Don't worry, do these things and they would be further tempted to Uber. Not everyone is as mobile and fit to walk huge distances for a bus.

Rose tinted specs lol? You sound like a typical doom monger complaining about everything and who said anything about people walking huge distances for a bus? I would assume the 38,390 and 507 would pick up in Wilton Road as happened with the 16 and 52 which if anything is actually slightly nearer the station. Did the 16 and 52 suffer any drop in usage as a result? Not as far as I'm aware.

Yeah I literally had the same thought when I was at Victoria station yesterday evening regarding Wilton Road being very close. If that's where the 38/390/507 will pick up then I'm all for the piazza going ahead.

It’s not only about picking up - good luck finding a nearer set down point & available stands because the Vauxhall Bridge Road stands are all taken so won’t be able to stand there. At this rate, you might as well remove buses from Central London altogether with this sort of attitude because it’s this sort of thing which contributes to further decreases. Victoria has plenty of space and a shopping area that’s well used already - the argument for a piazza over a bus station is laughably wafer thin.

From my experience of working around Victoria, the bus station area would benefit from a bit of sprucing up, fewer conflicting movements and a clearer route for pedestrians. But this piazza would go the same way as the one in Victoria Street outside Westminster Cathedral, becoming a magnet for the area's alcoholics and rough sleepers.
