The recent change seems very much a case of closing the gate long after the horse has bolted.

What I meant was the people will use one door for entrance and 2 doors for exit

People will still try to use middle doors how will it be controlled It is controlled to a certain extent as the rear doors are now opened and closed separately on routes 8 and 55 and 267. Other routes will be gradually converted.
We will have to see how things go once all routes are converted. People that don't want to pay will always find a way round the system.

I'm just gonna wait for the 254's rear doors to open last innit, Fam Unless there's no one else at the stop who wants to get off, this might be a tricky one to enforce. I thought the whole idea of 3 doors was for shorter dwell times (wait, people don't really use the buses anymore )... so unless all London just goes single door like everywhere else, there is no real way to enforce this. Factor in a dodgy Wayfarer, will the drivers have to take the bus out of service, or could they wave people on like before? Will they remove the other readers or deactivate them? Makes the LT even more pointless than before, especially with issues for parts. A lot of them are starting to look scruffy. Lord knows what Ash Grove were doing in terms of presentation. Their former batch now on the 19 looks a mess. I've seen gaffer tape holding panels and all sorts. Bojo, like normal, bit off more than he could chew...

It's somewhat interesting that the readers have simply been switched off and not removed, unless it will be done in one go once all the relevant routes have converted.

Is it me or has it really become a reality now?
Earlier when I was in Brixton, I was trying to get on the 415 at the rear end and the driver said that it is now a one door route.
So is this going to be a thing for all routes or was it a driver just being difficult?

I believe WL routes are scheduled next, so maybe driver was getting ahead of themselves.

I waited for like a good 10 seconds at the middle doors only for the driver to tell me that i have to board the fronts doors only. And then when it comes to the next stop, the idiot opens all the doors and even lets the passengers board though the middle and rear door without saying a thing to them. (This was in 2019 btw)
