Don’t blame them. ABE have sensibly suspended services too. Greedy despicable nat ex however are still gonna run services. Deprive being almost empty. Nice to see they care for their staff.

You clearly have an axe to grind with National Express, I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with you about that, but there's a big difference between Green Line not starting a new service and NE continuing to operate an existing one. Presumably the alternative would be to lay drivers off without pay?

Sorry but I worked for them for a decade on various roles and I’ve seen them exactly for what they are. As long as the precious shareholders get a return that’s all that matters. Recently they dismissed a driver for self isolating. They’ve also been disciplining drivers for following government advice such as maintaining certain distance from people ie Passengers by not touching luggage or asking passengers not to sit directly behind driver.
The alternative? Shut up shop for a bit like most other companies. They could afford to plus the government have said they’ll help. But no let’s just keep putting drivers at risk because shareholders.

With all due respect that's your side of the story and NE aren't here to give theirs but if a driver has been unfairly dismissed there are legal channels to contest it. I understand the risks because of the virus but it's the same for everybody doing a public facing job.

And now the most recent clanger. They’ve ripped up everyone’s contracted hours from 42 hours to 33 with no consultation whatsoever. Reckon London buses will be getting a few extra drivers.

I’d say the risks were ever so slightly higher for this particular role considering its airport based plus coaches have no barrier between passengers and driver like buses do. Are you dean finch by any chance?

Not unexpected, but this idea has now been officially dropped.
The latest TfL LSP notes:
"LSP1021, Arriva Kent Thameside, Route 720 (Stansted Airport - Liverpool Street)
The above service was appoved to operate under LSP1021, but wsa immediately suspended
as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. It has now been formally withdrawn and LSP1021 willl
be cancelled."
