Two hopes : 1) that these ten buses all get sympathetic new owners (some significant buses there, notably 652 and 1933, for differing reasons). Anybody fancy putting 2060 back into United Counties green? 2) there will still be the chance to ride older buses in London from time to time, like the 65 running day. The service H proposal from RedRoutemaster has gone very quiet, and I do fear that won’t ever happen.

Saw two open top E400's leaving Leyton garage eariler today which have been repainted in City Sightseeing Red. It looks like the Megasightseeing is now quietly dropped seeing the Megabus website doesn't show any upcoming dates to book for the Megasightseeing and that Stagecoach is taking on Citysightseeing as a joint venture instead.

Not sure why Rainham are doing this and I suspect there will be issues if they continue to now the 256 is a contracted double decker route opposed to a single decker route however route 256 has had SD appearance throughout the week yet route 165 has been receiving between 3 and 8 double deckers a day. Obviously its only one single decker but knowing the 256s business the bus will start to leave people behind from 2 stops in at Hornchurch Town Centre and won't begin to clear until after Harold Wood.

Obviously its only one single decker but knowing the 256s business the bus will start to leave people behind from 2 stops in at Hornchurch Town Centre and won't begin to clear until after Harold Wood. So every night when all the buses come back the yard supervisor will get a list of unfit buses from the engineers, buses will be allocated as and when but most of time you’ll be short and the remaining buses will be allocated in the morning when they are given back as fit by engineering, now depending on the jobs required to make buses fit and how long that takes and various other things depends on what buses get given back and when, if for example a single decker needs a coolant pipe replaced and then topped up, obviously that is going to be quicker than replacing the front windscreen on an E400, and any bus is better than no bus, while it may seem they are just throwing out singles deckers for fun, trust me they aren’t, then during the day all manner of things can happen which prevent it from being swapped over as soon as possible and lack of available staff. The 256 also has some of the latest buses starting from the yard or it did when I was there anyway so would normally get the bottom of the barrel buses

I used the 323 today and maybe it was my ears but pretty sure the buses how that strange audio noise when moving at low speed. I thought the trial was limited to route 100 buses?
Also noticed the RMs are still parked at West Ham.

All electrics have that sound from the 100 onwards.
