Does anyone know why both PD & TL have more buses than is needed for the take ups of the 160 & 180 - for TL, they already seemingly had more deckers than was required before some of the 61 reg Enviro 400's moved to PD as the 199 only had a couple seemingly allocated but received 21 Volvo's on loan whilst over at PD, the 180 only needs around 17 buses in total (bearing in mind it's actually around 10 as a few hybrids are part of the new contract) yet they also have more buses than is required so is something else going on at both garages that require them to need excess vehicles?

I would assume it was either the case of where TfL wasn't planning to reduce the 277 when Stagecoach was planning for their covers for the 160/180 or Tower Transit was willing to give as many VH's to Stagecoach as possible for TT to avoid having too many buses in storage before the 733 commences in January especially with TT having the DNH's as the general spares until 20th November.
The 180 still keeps its PVR of 18 as it is with Stagecoach and the PVR of 17 on the tender award looks to be for the restructured 180 between North Greenwich & Erith or on a tighter schedule for the current route and PD do currently have 12262, 12275, 12283 & 12394 as long term VOR.

In addition to this, the older E400s and E400Hs at PD are still in the process of being refurbished, alot of them haven't been done yet, I'm guessing a few more extras would help to speed things up in that regard. I'm not sure exactly how many buses are needed to operate the AZ1 and AZ2, but I presume PD may have needed more buses to supplement the fleet for the operation of those routes as well.

174 has changed from Dagenham, marsh Way to Beam Park, Marsh Way Industrial Area. Absolutely disgusting. Another gentrification idea. End of the day it is in Dagenham and was where Ford's plants were. The way they are going on about this so called 'Beam Park' you would think it was some different part of London. The same way they tried to change Gascoigne Estate in Barking with other fancy snowflake names.

No doubt it will probably change back to Dagenham in a few weeks.

If we had LED blinds it would at least be easy to update them so both displays are consistent.

There was going to be a new station called Beam Park. The government has withdrawn financial support for the project so it is on hold at the moment.

The closest I got was missing it by a few minutes.
