Private Equity companies are dedicated are set up to make a profit, so should not runs any company down. They want to make a profit when they come to sell it. Normally best way to do that is make the company more successful. I agree, but it seems they fail miserably on the buses. ELBG is a perfect example of how to make it go wrong. ELBG was not really owned by a private equity firm, more a Bank. Banks chance their arm a lots of things, many of the Railway stock owners, are owned by large financial institutions or have been. It's all about getting the right people into manage it.

14149 has an older style "via" blind on the side. Shouldn't blinds now be showing the route number and destination on there? It might be a TL vehicle for the 160 with blinds for the 180- I might be wrong but I think the standard hybrids at BW have a via blind for the 8 instead of a full scroll of destinations to cut down on costs

Ideally as an operator Go-Ahead wouldn't want the 132 to be showing Bexley, as that would mean there was a problem with the service!

I think most people don't even know where the 132 starts and ends, especially those reading BBC Scotland! So not a disaster for GAL.

Does anyone know if route 314 can take longer single-deck buses and if they can't, could you please explain why? because I'm planning travel on the route (full journey) as a friend of mine requested it to me, and also that it's not my area, so I'd love to try out the lengthy route in an area I'm not familiar with.

No I don't think it can have longer buses, the corner at Elmstead Woods I think? Paul works at TB and might be able to tell you more?

For years 10.8m buses have been kept off the 314. However one did appear on the route this year and I believe it was photographed.

Indeed, even before it got it's own Enviro 200s, it was almost always Pointer Darts only as they were shorter at 10.2m with the 246 10.8m Enviro 200's staying away
