Stagecoach brand retained interestingly I wonder if some National Express services will eventually park coaches in at least one Stagecoach depot during the day (assuming there aren't any existing arrangements as I'm not clued up on that part of town) . In effect it allows National Express to take more of their coach operations back in house in the future. By utilising depot space from Stagecoach it should allow them to operate routes themselves reducing costs. In recent years they have taken over contractors like Lucketts who had become a big contractor in the South and taken some of the airport contracts back in house. It’s a smart move given Stagecoach’s national network of depots and routes.

I dunno, the new Stagecoach livery looks worse than what NXWM is offering but I don’t think it matters too much. Is there going to be re-brand of the NXWM ops?

Indeed don’t wish to see that National Express ugly Prison themed Grey interior

Not too surprised about this given those ex RM Scanias wasn't really used at all in Kent, but at the same time, those Scanis aren't Euro 6 so it would end up pretty pointless here in London unless it is to do with storage before sending them elsewhere.

Indeed don’t wish to see that National Express ugly Prison themed Grey interior I know looks are subjective but if you’re talking about this interior: www.flickr.com/photos/tomlondonbusblog/7228769330/ (NOT my photo) Still found actually on 2415-422 as they’re unrefurbishedc I’m actually a big fan of that interior. It’s just simplistic and minimalist, with a splash of red with the poles. I wish we still had it on more vehicles as I really love that interior, but I do equally love the modern Abellio one too, albeit for completely opposite reasons

Personally I’d be very surprised if they saw London service again. Judging by a photo on twitter I think some if not all have LED screens now, so blind boxes would need to be put back in, and converted to euro 6, at a time when most operators have lots of surplus buses anyway because of all the cuts TfL are making to routes. You’re probably right they’ll be put in storage and sent elsewhere

Not a massive fan of the new Stagecoach livery, but yes, Stagecoach as a name is well established and respected. In my ideal world we’d have different liveries in different areas, branded geographically as (eg) Stagecoach in East Kent. What would be interesting is if, as said above, the NatEx West Midlands operation becomes Stagecoach, and also if some of the much longer Stagecoach routes, notably some of those right up in the north of Scotland, get rebranded as NatEx.

Stagecoach brand retained interestingly This is reminiscent of when DB bought Arriva but kept the Arriva name for relevant operations. It will take longer than expected to go through, as the target date for completion is late 2022. I wonder whether Stagecoach Oxford Tube will gain National Express branding? Meanwhile Stagecoach will divest Megabus, Falcon and their 35% stake in Scottish Citylink to Comfort DelGro by the end of February 2022. This will give CDG sole control of SCL.

A quick update from South of the river: For the first time, this morning MMC/City types form the majority of buses on duty on the 180. The nine buses include 14163/67/68/70. Meanwhile14164/65/71 are present at PD and I guess are likely to debut soon. Meanwhile at TL, it looks like the G3s on loan from Tower Transit have all been stood down - 80128 being the most recent in traffic until the early hours of 16 December on the 160. As previously reported, the four E400 deisels loaned to PD have all returned.

All of the 180's electrics were delivered to PD at the beginning of December but only five have entered service thus far though as you say, can't be too long before the rest do. VH38113 is back at LI now, currently on the 308, no doubt most of the VHs are back there now, in conjunction it looks like more Smart Hybrids have been reblinded for use on the 160. One thing I've noticed is that the electrics tend to finish working on the 160 and 180 by 9/10pm with them being subbed by Smart Hybrids (and previously the VHs) and E400Hs, probably to allow enough time to charge the buses.
