Perhaps First knew at that point that they would want to sell off their London operations soon and didn't bother with introducing their new interiors on new buses?? I do hope Stagecoach give us something different I don't think Stagecoach need to change their interior, it's probably the most timeless interior out there at the moment. I do agree with rj131 though, the new interior might not necessarily work out for London due to the specs. I doubt that the 425s buses will have any sign of the new logo or interior as they were ordered at exactly the same time as the 25s buses. I imagine the 173 and 174s buses will probably come with whatever the future plan is for London. Timeless! That’s the word I was looking for. That’s the perfect word to describe it. I have to say I couldn’t call what will happen, interior choices seem to be a little conflicting. Electric DDs 14034 LF69UXO and 14004 LF69UXU still have the standard provincial Stagecoach interior but with the updated exterior and new logo, however the bus modelling the new livery 11259 SN69ZFU has a new blue interior, this photo shows the interior clearer as it’s taken at night so easier to see inside (BTW all NOT my photos). Even more baffling is that the BYD DDs are newer than 11259, yet have the older-style interior 🤔 However my more sensible business mind tells me that Stagecoach wouldn’t splash out and design a new moquette which they’re only using in a small part of their entire business, ie just the London sector. The rest of the business they’re going leather crazy. So that says to me Stagecoach will save the £££ and just carry on with the interior they have currently.

I'd imagine they won't have the new logo or interior myself - if anything, it might be the 425 batch or the 173 & 174 batches that introduce it to London. Will there be a new interior for London? Stagecoach’s new interior now is more high-spec which we can only dream about getting in London lol. I wonder if they’ll still change the interior colour scheme and the moquette, would be interesting to see. I’ve got very used to the Stagecoach interior, it’s been very stuck in its ways since what, 2000/2001? I don’t know when the transition occurred from the orange/red grab bars and grey moquette with red chevrons, to the one we’ve become very familiar with still seen today. (Only in London now though sadly) First didn’t change their interior for London vehicles when they refreshed their designs in 2012-ish. The BF62s and SN13s still kept the purple moquette and turquoise grab bar interior when all the new provincial vehicles changed to leather seats and pink grab bars. 36181 BF12KXU was one of the first with this interior Isn't a new colour and moquette a new interior, was last time I looked? I certainly wasn't expecting any differing of the spec. The Stagecoach interior debuted in 2001 on the Y reg TA's in London but the first bus overall in the UK was a 2000 registered one. X reg and older reg buses in London such as the TA's & SLD's had the old red & rey interior. First altered their interior slightly on the DN's & DML's as the moquette was different to the TN & TNL's among other buses of that period

I wonder if Stagecoach (outside of London) could end up with a different interior scheme variation for each of the 3 new brands (amber/green/blue)?

Had First stayed in London, this interior could have worked well (without the leather headrests): www.flickr.com/photos/joshs-bus-pics/48607567268/in/photolist-2h4huhC-2h4hudu-2h2nA3f-2h2nzWD-2h2oj9k-2h2oj5Y-2h2oj2B-24rjgd4-QDHoTf-2boss4s-272P2A8-27YZEb8-26cXAyS-2gP1FGW-2emxX41-2eUWK1T-244niZT-2edximH-2bLji1e-2akVG89-23Nfwo5-23vVvo4-23vVuit-ZN6NT8-ZN6NFV-ZN6NtF-CG876J-ZKpnVL-ZKpnC1-ZeiTof-Cb2kmo-ZcQpp3-NkLDMJ-FdYB12-24PjrQJ-24Pjg1Y-FdY5NZ-21q8sAu-QBCW7s-21eKw1K-UgMBYb-PsmEMC-PjMHC5-MNAxuT-LHJuus-LHJtCs-LDxwLu-LDxvES-LGvjfT-LGvg6rA blue version of this moquette is also used in Bristol for the Park & Ride and the new Gas E400Citys, as well as a red version for Kernow.

It’s to do with the times orders were placed. It’s quite possible that BYDs were ordered earlier than the Standard MMCs and built after them hence the older design.

Seen about 20 mins ago one of the new Smart Hybrids at Paul’s heading eastbound probably doing route learning duties. Couldn’t catch the ID.

Don't company logos for TfL service need to be in a specific colour and so the "new" Stagecoach logo would therefore appear the same as now?

What happened to the original thread? Has someone stolen it to hoard to keep them occupied during self isolation? 🤔

The first one was TA268 allocated to NS then TA359 that was the first of the production batch allocated to BK.
