Perhaps the PD Scanias are covering for other buses which are away having their Platinum Jubilee makeover at present. Stagecoach is only having one, for route 205 at BW (Bow). One PD bus is due to receive an Elizabeth Line wrap, which I appreciate is different!

Looks like 5 Scanias out on the 96 at the moment.

It might be because not enough buses are blinded for the new 180 and 472 extensions. Once there are enough buses with the updated set of blinds, then the Scanias can be withdrawn?

Just been on ITV news. 5 passengers had to go to hospital! Seems very similar to the other recent accident with GAL on the 212.

Is there a system like a flight recorder that's says exactly what the bus was doing at the time i.e accelerating or braking of so this should find the cause of both the 212 incident , main thing is hopefully everyone is ok though .

Stagecoach have fitted cameras by the pedals for about 4 years now, so whether it’s pedal confusion or a mechanical fault it will be known to the company pretty shortly.

Yes there are telematic systems on Stagecoach electric E400City. It would be a matter of time before they would check it out. It has the speed, brake pressure etc. as well as camera by the foot pedal. Looking at that stretch of road which I use every now and again, can only think foot placement error.
