Stagecoach Chief Executive Officer Claire Miles and her team visited ADL at Larbert yesterday for an update on their plans alongside a tour of the factory and Stagecoach's next-generation electric buses. Bit of a hint about future purchases. Stagecoach has already ordered ADL Enviro400 EVs for non-London fleets, the first examples have recently entered service in Oxford (52 are due for Oxford city services).

Bit of a hint about future purchases. I think this is more in relation to the upcoming Oxfordshire order, not necessarily suggesting any will be ordered for London specifically.

Due to my car being off the road I am using buses a lot this week. I used a Smart Hybrid on the 474 today and it dawned on me these buses on now on the last year of a 7 year tender! These buses still look brand new internally. You really notice the difference in comparison to the WHVs on the 147 which are very hit and miss.

Yes I took the 54 recently and that still felt pretty new. I hope they all get a contract retention even if just 3 to 5 years.

Just been told by a 379 driver that the electrics are 5 or so weeks away; drivers yet to be type trained.

Just seen a video on tiktok 11377 - Spirit of London 2 was involved in a head on RTC with a car on the 25 on Wednesday 8th May at Forest Gate Police Station. The damage doesn't seem major but certainly will be off the road for some time.

Just been told by a 379 driver that the electrics are 5 or so weeks away; drivers yet to be type trained. That's great news! W11's buses have started to arrive and the W5's batch have basically entered service, but is it confirmed the route will go to AW? As soon as the W11 releases the MMCs, the 309 can later begin converting as well. Looking forward to seeing what happens next!

On a side note, the W12/W13 and W14 are about 3 months away from entering their new retained contracts, however all routes require electrics and there are gonna be some PVR changes.
W12's PVR will double. W13's PVR will go from 5 to 9 buses. W14 will go from 10 to 2.
Technically, Stagecoach will need 6 additional buses for the W12 and 4 additional buses for the W13 once the route converts. If the electrics don't arrive on time, which are very likely, my guess would be that the W14's 8 lost buses will go on them, but the issue is the length of them.
I guess it's another problem that will be looked into later!
