Not sure if confirmed here but LOTS News reports the confirmed order for the B14 and W12.
The ADL electric buses ordered by Stagecoach London recently are now known to be for routes B14 and W12 (24 x E100EV) and SL3 (17 x E400EV).

Should Stagecoach retain the 124, it would be good if dual door buses could be ordered against this contract and then swapped with the W12s E100EV.

If the W12 really begins to struggle to the point where it leaves people behind, or the bus is just filled to the brim in general, they should definitely consider this.

I disagree as the busy part I see every week or so is Woodford Bridge to Leytonstone which is staying as the revised W12.

It starts in January, and we don't know whether TB will be ready for electrification by then, they are expecting E100 EVs for the B14, BZLs for the 314 and this batch of buses. Whilst you could be right, I still think that this could potentially be for the SL3, or at least trialled on the route. I personally am doubtful a bus for a tender awarded in April is already built and ready for delivery. The bus also has a 24 reg number plate which suggests it will enter service soon which to me suggests more a demo bus. BZLs buses for 314, not long before 314 starts new contacts on 31st August, I understand Electric hasn't begun to installed at TB yet. I bet TB will have to sort it out on where buses will be parked somewhere or staff cars may have to move out of the bus garage?!

There has been a few situations I can think of from memory where short buses were ordered only for a reversal to happen shortly after. The 257 is one example. In January 2001 Marshall Darts came onto that route only for a reversal to occur later on in the year through to January 2002 to give that route Plaxton Presidents which were meant to be given to the 123. Another example was the 368 when it went to first in 2011 but capacity wise it was too short and so in 2012 when the W15 went to first the 368 got longer buses and it's shorter buses made up the other allocation of buses on the W15.

If hypothetically the 122 was lost is there an alternative stand it can use instead of Plumstead garage?

If hypothetically the 122 was lost is there an alternative stand it can use instead of Plumstead garage? Perhaps it can swap stands with the 53, as I believe the 53 uses the stand outside the bus garage.
