KB isn't restricted just to single deckers and it can take double deckers. Indeed, there have been pictures of Deckers that have ended up in there in the past. It was mentioned it was just by pure chance that it has ended up with a full single decker allocation. There's a low bridge nearby that seems to confuse people, double deckers are fine just not from the Bellingham direction.

Yes, I expect that KB was intended purely for single deckers, so that the risk of an out-of-service bus running to and from the garage and causing a bridge bash would not be an issue.

I'm sure double deckers could operate from there if Stagecoach won the 194 for instance. BW has a low bridge almost outside.

I'm sure double deckers could operate from there if Stagecoach won the 194 for instance. BW has a low bridge almost outside. They could. Equally they could operate the 194 from TL, shuffling routes around if anything needs to move out to make room. BW is a long-established garage and the low bridge is adjacent to the garage (so the hazard is immediately obvious), therefore the chances of a BW driver mistakenly driving under it are much lower.

I didn't mean that a decker would never end up at KB (obviously, they have). What I meant was that Stagecoach would not run a double-deck route from there because of the risk factor.

I'd try to find the post however the old thread has been snapped away

Double Deck at KB -> Link (This was roughly when they were bidding for 202, they were mostly testing floor clearances coming into garage as it's a bit steep, but yet easily fixed with few more layers of asphalt.
Current KB Layout -> Link (Green Indicating bus spaces, but numerous times it has been mentioned space is least of their concern, worst case they can always cramp the buses more, reduce car park space, rearrange offices.
Shame this garage misssed out on 352, 202, next bet is 450 or 194 and personally I don't think it would be a big deal for 194 to be there due to low bridge mostly because the biggest risk for bridge strike would be by engineers if anything since it is not in a way of route, mostly this bridge was strook by light running 75 drivers and there is still a risk of it happening especially if new driver is local yet didn't read route record or anything but chances are super low with how strict they are with everything nowdays.
Keeping in mind, if they really didn't want 202 from KB, could have easily switched routes like 273 or 124, P4 to operate from KB.

I would love to see the 194 back at Stagecoach will be a while away yet though.

The biggest route Stagecoach could win now in south east is 185 and it's up for tender in what, October I think? That would be quite the win, not saying a KB route, but in theory it could be...but either way even if they win it, might change allocation in TL...but then again they could lose 380 and there is your space... lol.
I'd like 194 too as I think it's probably the 2nd bus route I ever was as passenger years ago.

Oooo I would love a 185 steal. Relocate the MHVs to the 476 perhaps?

Ironically 2 double decks today at KB but I believe for storage reasons only.
As far as 185, I am not saying stagecoach will win it, but I am pretty sure GoAhead wont retain that route.
