As far as I recall it was due to start around the time of the other changes? Did you report buses have been moved to DX for the PVR increase as far back as last year? I believe it's tied in with the ARC (or whatever they're called) development between Royal Albert and Beckton Park Stations. I haven't been down that way for a while so not sure what progress on the site has been made When I passed recently it still looked empty. A worrying sign was all the advertising hoardings about the development have also been removed. Let’s hope it all does open eventually.

No, it's wholly dependant on residents' occupancy levels at ABP in Royal Albert. The roads haven't been fully built let alone the houses, so the 325 extension won't be happening for a while yet. Last I heard it was looking like at least 2024 or 25 before the 325 extension comes online With 2024 being the year of the 325's contract renewal, it would allow an ITT with double deckers specified. Better scenario than Arriva or any other operator to source deckers mid contract.

IIRC it is dependent on Crossrail travel patterns and upcoming Silvertown tunnel. The W4 would be getting an increase to the service on Sundays and evenings. The W4 should be increased every day not just Sundays It is , that is wrote I wrote. To clarify Mon-Sun evenings service increased Sunday daytime, service increased

I am really unsure what has changed, buses could easily be sourced. I would not be surprised if it is in part to do with the bailout over the past year or so has change or stalled increases.

What's going on with the 325 extension? Has that been scrapped? IIRC it is dependent on Crossrail travel patterns and upcoming Silvertown tunnel. The W4 would be getting an increase to the service on Sundays and evenings. Will there be enough buses for said increase? I guess this will limit and 'cheeky borrows' for the 318 if there's an improvement planned for the W4. Do they have enough spares themselves at WN?

So why aren’t the EMCs on the 312 suspended?

So why aren’t the EMCs on the 312 suspended? Probably because battery technology had advanced in the 5 years between the EMCs and the OMEs, so the problems are not in the EMC batteries. I would hope things have advanced as the batteries in the EMCs appear pretty useless. Besides they have 7-8 years of operational history without catching fire. Talking of EMCs, good to see EMC1 is still alive according to the bus audit spreadsheet. Just need it to show it's face and return to service now.

When Arriva's garage at Garston was still operating, did they ever bid for routes such as 32, 83, 183, 139, 79, h12, 292 and 107? The thought just came to me last night that they would've had a lot more bidding power for routes like these as Garston wasn't exactly a million miles away.

I assume they must have bidded for some routes that weren't gained, particularly around areas such as Borehamwood, Edgware, Harrow and Northwood. What's odd about GR is that - other than school routes 640/642 - they didn't may any gains at all after 2006, retaining all routes until the 142/258 were lost. And before 2006, they only ran the 142, 340 and H18/H19.

They also briefly operated the U9 in 1998 when they first won the route before it headed over to High Wycombe

Unfortunately we won’t know exactly their bidding history unless someone working within Arriva discloses this information, so we may never know whether they put in a bid for any of the routes you mentioned. We could make an educated guess based on the number of bidders from each of the past tender results.

That might hint at that they were possibly at capacity once they won the collection of routes they did in 2006 especially as everything was retained until just before closure
