Where did you hear about Yutong? A driver I know down there was saying that was the rumour but the TC rumour mill is known for having an accuracy rate of about 1 in a million Surely it would make more sense to order a few more EMCs to give a common fleet (rather than introducing a small number of Yutongs etc)?

Depends really. The Optares aren't renowned for their reliability and the latest Metro city model is very different to the 2015 ones already with Arriva.

Also, presumably additional EVs are only needed for the 312 is the Old Lodge Lane extension were to go ahead?

Is the 41 being converted to HVs as there are only 5 DWs today and since 230 is leaving and 191 is coming the DWs might go to enfield Where would the HVs come from?

What did Arriva London order for 312 since I’m guessing it was E200 EVs? No order has been placed. I think it's dependent on the upcoming consultation, but probably 5 new buses. I did hear Yutong was preferred. Do you have the link to the upcoming consultation?

Today is the last day of routes 67 and 106 under Arriva London:
It would appear the 106 is using a few HAs today which is likely to help AE transfer and prepare the 13-reg DWs for tomorrow now the 191 and 106 change operators on the sane day. I must say I am looking forward to seeing the 13-reg on the 191.* It's also interesting that the 106 has been awarded with new buses since 2008 the route has been awarded to 3 operators using brand new buses. 2008 - Stagecoach with Scanias, 2013 - Arriva London with VDL DB300 Wright Gemini 2 and now 2020 - London General with Enviro 400 EV Citys, the hybrid version of the citys that make an appearance on the 106 currently look smashing on the route so looking forward to see the Eviro 400 City EVs.
Good luck to Arriva operating route 191 and London General operating route 67 and 106.
*I am looking forward to seeing this change when it is safe to do so, not during this pandemic.

Where would the HVs come from? The 41 isn't being converted to HV operation its only allocated 5 HVs 380-385. The official allocation of the 41 is DW417-422 and DW460-475, obviously with some lower PVR's atm HV's will spread across all AR routes bar the 149. HV's are used on the 41 in the evening as they then work onto the N41.
