For anyone interested in the financial crisis, DB is apparently almost insolvent. I’m not an expert though. And I don’t know what that would mean for Arriva who are owned by them. www.railwaygazette.com/business/deutsche-bahn-sells-arriva-businesses-to-private-equity-holding-company/62672.articlewww.intelligenttransport.com/transport-news/139879/arriva-group-agreement-purchase-businesses/They sold the Swedish operations in March. UK operations are the last standing. They still have quite a bit of work with London Overground, CrossCountry, Chiltern plus bus operations here so it would have to be quite a big firm to take over. I saw a lot of activity last week at their offices in Holborn, I'm sure there's things happening in the background here. DB are in real trouble back home I wonder if the same firm which took over Abellio will be interested in consolidating operations in London and elsewhere? Probably why they were so quick to head off those strikes which would have been the death blow for the business in London had they gone ahead, possibly for days

However, they are apparently still represented in 13 countries. How many of them would be willing to take route 318 ENs is a moot point. www.arriva.co.uk/en/countries

Probably why they were so quick to head off those strikes which would have been the death blow for the business in London had they gone ahead, possibly for days There is always plenty of things going on at Lacon House as it houses all parts of DB UK operations in some form.A new beginning for Denmark and Serbia, and for Poland BusThree Arriva businesses are set for a new future after an agreement was signed yesterday that will see them transfer to a new owner by the end of the year. Arriva businesses in Denmark and Serbia, and the Poland bus business, will be acquired by Mutares, giving our 3,413 colleagues much needed certainty over their future. The Poland rail market is not part of the transaction and will remain part of the Arriva group of businesses. Mutares is an international financial investor which manages a portfolio of companies, many within the automotive and mobility sector. The team at Mutares has extensive operational industry experience. For the businesses it is good news that Mutares plans to leverage its strong expertise in tendering for public sector contracts to strengthen Arriva’s leading positions in the respective markets. Our CEO Mike Cooper paid tribute to the teams at Denmark, Serbia and Poland Bus. He said: “I want to thank the Danish, Serbian and Polish Bus leadership teams and all colleagues for their professionalism and dedication to delivering great services while being part of the Arriva Group.” “I am proud of what the teams have achieved in their markets and for Arriva overall - building strong brands locally, building trusted relationships with their clients and playing a vital role in their communities.” He said: “We obviously feel a degree of sadness as we say goodbye. These businesses have been part of the Arriva family for many years. However, I am confident Mutares will move these businesses forward and lead them onto a stable and profitable growth path.” With the sale of Sweden completed in July, and Portugal due to complete later this year, today’s announcement marks the fulfilment of Arriva’s Focus Programme, which is a critical element of the Group’s forward-looking strategy to build a stronger, more competitive Arriva for the long-term. There is still a lot of work underway to complete the transactions, which we expect to happen by the end of the year. Today’s announcement is subject to approvals, including by the Deutsche Bahn Supervisory Board. Colleagues are asked to please continue to show the businesses full support to ensure a smooth transition.

I don't mean to sound harsh but the maintenance work at TH is questionable. Why do some of their E400s look lopsided especially on the rear wheels and even some of the E200s that used to be at DX. I know DX gets a lot of flack but TH need to really improve on their maintenance works. N present their buses well.
