I take high resolution destination blinds to mean LEDs. Are the Electroliners the first batch of Arriva buses to have LED blinds? I believe the ADLs for the 319 do have a manual set in them, but I'm not sure if it's the same for the whole allocation.

However, Arriva do have one bus with LEDs— that being EMC6

The BYD’s on the 319 are power blinded - last manual blinded buses would probably of been the 11 reg DW’s as the 61 reg are power blinded examples

Lee and Lea are interchangeable... for a little trivia it takes its name from the Celtic god Lug, and begins its journey from a stream near Luton I used to live near Lee Conservancy Road in Homerton. There was a Lee Valley bus company who used to run the 34, forerunner to Arriva To muddy the waters, Lee Valley Park covers much of the area, from Waltham Abbey to Tottenham, near Lea Valley Tesco (spelt differently) PS ENR7 made her 318 debut today The bus company called themselves Lea Valley, not Lee Valley - see here for example (not my photo). Lea Valley was just a trading name of County Bus, which became Arriva East Herts & Essex, although the Edmonton operations were quickly transferred to Arriva London North.
My bad - but I remember seeing those DP's on the 34 before the DLA's took over. Another throwback was Arriva London North East based at Stamford Hill, where the Grey-Green Volvo Citybuses were (I remember these on the 243 amongst the Metrobuses, and them on the 168 - dead run from AR ) Put an April Fool's on the Londoner FB group, but had to dash out so didn't post here... ENN51 on the 243

I have to say it is a little bit of a shame that they don't have the front corner windows on the upper deck like the Abellio ones. Nevertheless I'm looking forward to seeing these in service. Does anyone know what colour the flooring will be? I'm hoping brown like Abellio rather than the grey that RATP and Go Ahead have gone for.

Seems there is a cutback a bit in the amount of glass no doubt due to costs as the latest BYD/City's with RATP and Go Ahead no longer having the glass staircase.

It’s quite poor that they can’t agree a particular spec across all vehicles from all operators rather than this picking and choosing.

The ones used by Abellio are largest and most luxurious as opposed to what Go Ahead and it looks Metroline aswell on their WDEs are little more then the arch top seats with a small padded headrest.

It really is making this 'high spec' situation look a bit laughable. Abellio and Arriva are using high back seats with the headrests moulded into the seats, RATP, Go Ahead and Metroline are using standard Civic V2s with leader headrests which are fixed onto where the standard handles would be. One is quite inferior to the other. Metroline don't seem to be using wood effect flooring either. Abellio and RATP seem to have rear destination displays, while Go Ahead just have the number. Abellio and Stagecoach have phone holders, none of the others do so far. It's amounting to a different experience depending on what operator is running your route.

RATP are not using Civic seats, they are using the ADL/Kiel smartseats which have the headrest embedded in - they are by far the most comfortable seats adopted in the high spec too, in my mind.

Oh yes, I don't know why I had it in my head they were Civics, especially since I've been on them!

Over in HK the latest E500MMCs still have a glass staircase though the width of the glass is narrower, likely cheaper and maybe lighter? I wonder if ADL will start providing the same option for the E400EV.

However the Kiel SmartSeats do seem like a nice touch and I hope Metroline and GA ditch Civics soon for either these or lazzer highbacks.

I am referring to the newer BE/BCEs like on 226/295 which of course have the Smartseats, as the conversation was about the high-spec vehicles
