Funny, it should be fully electric tomorrow on the 64, yet T120 is parked at the front blinded for 64, as if ready for tomorrow I saw one of the London Road ones was blinded for 198 and two for 250. Also rode T155, it was absolute garbage T142 on the other hand was great, would have been nice on the 217.

It’s time for ESs to come through! I can see T119 and T127 and 2 other T’s parked across the road from BN, are they to be withdrawn?

Quite possibly my least favourite operator for a myriad of reasons but credit where credit is due Arriva have converted very quickly from infrastructure completion. Although I suppose months of preparation has helped 😊

N279 has not moved tonight, which normally is the case for night routes they move on Friday > Saturday rather than Saturday> Sunday, I guess it could move tomorrow like the N19 did the move on a Saturday night.
Capitals message in upcoming changes definitely suggests a new timetable in operation for the route from this weekend so I imagine tomorrow, remains to be seen whether the 259 moves tomorrow morning

It’s time for ESs to come through! It is definitely good riddance, but it will be somewhat sad to see them go. Their terribleness makes them leaving feel a bit emotional . They’ve been here for what feels like forever, but I’m happy they’re being replaced with buses that can actually pull away at a reasonable speed, and can go up an incline without struggling

Over the past few days noted were. 9 AugustHA15 HV30 HV37 HV36 HV20 8 AugustHV20 HV14 HV30 HV32 HV36 HV75 HA15 7 AugustHV20 HV37 HV32 HV167 HA15 I assume HA15 and HV167 are AD spares, as I don't know if AR have any HA type trained drivers (not sure if any HA spares from SL1 are stored there or AD?) I've seen HV167 back on the 141 every now and then (seen on LVF) The route is covered from [AR] and [AD]. The drivers that are doing it, is mostly agency, so no type training done.

duct tape isnt pratical but its obviously not exclusively done by Arriva…. Other operators have done it. Be glad theres a bus in service at least and theres not mileage being lost As for the blinds on LT141 well thats just typical faulty blinds which will be fixed in due course… Its no different to other LTs carrying no desination at all or some of the DWs on the 103 not having Rainham on the blinds… Going to be tongue in cheek here... duct tape is super practical! About half a year ago I saw a driver taping (perhaps reinforcing existing) tape on the back of his LT midroute on the 38, no way you could do that level of reactive maintenance with any other material! A few years ago, TfL sent a notice to operators to cease using duct tape. It did seem to stop, then has gone back to square one and seen it with many operators again.

At least your bus isn't just showing the old ARRIVA logo in the blinds along with an A4 sheet reading '217' This is the issue with "SmartBlinds", as they ain't so Smart. But any tech can fail as we've seen with the McKenna sets. LCD panels in laptops fail. It's part of life, and especially new tech. At least there's a bus out, and the iBus should explain where the bus is going, and also LVF HV167 is back on the 217, I think it's moved over with sister 189 two weeks ago to AR. I don't know if HA15 is still out and about on the route, I've seen the older BN HV's on the route In all honesty I do think Arriva can be excused for the shoddy displays on the 217 seeing as they managed to start a service at such short notice. I think the lack of iBus now is a bit ridiculous seeing as it's been a few weeks which should be more than enough time. There really should have been an update pushed out as soon as they can. There was no schedule to submit. Everything was drawn up on the Friday night and Saturday at TfL's request.

Drop the mic!! Have I just seen you defend Arriva? Are my eyes deceiving me? In all seriousness they should actually be commended for how quickly they got such a good service up and running, same with the other operators and the routes they took over. But especially Arriva as the 217 was the most major casualty with the biggest PVR. Not the biggest PVR route in London by a long shot, but large enough to cause seismic changes by having it suddenly land on AR’s doorstep I think I see a blue moon outside now

Would Sullivan Buses even want to give their blinds to another operator? They might as well! I don't see why they would want to hold on to them. However half of them were broken anyway so it would be nice to see some new blinds. Though it would be unfair if the operators have to pay for them despite already taking on the routes at such short notice. Would you if you were treated like dog muck to help them out when they were not willing to help Sullivans.

Those are the slowest buses that were chosen by drivers That’s a hilarious way to pick which buses to withdraw, and I’m here for it 😂. Some of those Ts are shocking. I do wonder why Wood Green need those two Ts back. I assume the others are ones the drivers nominated as the fastest? Or ones that weren’t voted as slowest at all? For the 329. Also some would be going to various garages for the Piccadilly line rail replacement for the next two weeks
