I am not sure they will bother. Is the 217 not about to go out on a one year tender starting soon? they will probably wait for the outcome of that result. Even Stagecoach have gone for a lazy style display with just the number on the W9. Stagecoach's "blinds" look good in those Solo's makes sense to wait for the tender awards. Hopefully T146 is in a better state than T161 which was making a racket yesterday Yes TH was always known for covering up defects by using duct tape and then spray painting it red. Our buses were in a terrible state, they were never maintained correctly. Hopefully they will be properly repaired at their new home

So the 289 new contract starts Saturday 31st with brand new laid out duty cards. But I'm wondering, will they still be using those small single deckers still?

Unlike the first three of the refurbished HV's at N, HV284 does display West Norwood as it's destination blind, thank goodness. I've seen four of the five and rode HV284 as well for a 4 stop journey and they look nice though I'm disappointed the wooden flooring wasn't implemented. The text on the new I-Bus screen on HV284 downstairs was slightly off center as well.

So the 289 new contract starts Saturday 31st with brand new laid out duty cards. But I'm wondering, will they still be using those small single deckers still? I did wonder that, with most of the 289’s ES’s now in service on the 64 - surely August 31st would be an ideal date to convert the route to electric unless there aren’t enough chargers working yet at TH? Also, are there any signs of the 255’s new GB Kite Electroliners, or news on what they’re going to be numbered? Have to say, the facelifted Electroliners do look very good in the flesh!

I have to say I think the opposite, I often see these on the 133 and have also seen the ones at NS a few times now and they look far more ridiculous in person than they do in pictures. It's almost like a bus of two halves where the bottom half is at a complete mismatch to the top half. I think it's a lot more bearable on the Kite as there's no mis-matched top deck to go with it, but on the deckers it just looks clumsy and with no actual effort to integrate the frontal panels into the design. I wonder if Wright will come out with a new design anytime soon, probably safe to say that since 2015 when this new design showed up it was a step behind the ADL MMC, and then the City just widened the gap. ADL have since come out with a third design while Wright are effectively still on the same design from 2015 just with a changed lower deck front as they were pretty much forced to.

Im pretty sure dt11 mentioned that they all do have West Norwood on the dests but they're at the bottom of the list and since Norwood is after Marylebone on the list, the drivers select that

All the buses refurbished have the same programme on the blinds.

I actually prefer the recent face lift, looks a lot better with the rounded screen than the sharp edges of the previous design. Apart from the destination displays, I'm pleased with the Transport UK examples and I don't see why Wrightbus needs to come out with another design just because ADL have three different iterations - in any case, I'm still not sold on the new ADL Enviro 400 after passing the one that was sitting outside BX a few months ago. The MMC is still my preferred choice and the City has grown on me a lot over the last few years. The perfect electric double decker for me would be an ADL on the outside with the Electroliner's interior.
