Crayford was a bit drastic, but I'm surprised it hasn't been cut back to Dartford, as unlike the 492, the 428 doesn't provide unique links between Dartford and Bluewater. What should be done personally to give it something slightly different is an extension to Greenhithe Station and for Stone Crossing & Greenhithe Stations to be moved into the Oyster zone but of course, none of this stuff is ever likely to happen given they lie outside of London. That is not a bad idea but ever since the 96 was re-routed I have thought the 428 should take up the entire 492 route between Bluewater & Crayford with the 492 cut to Crayford.

I'm sure I didn't imagine this. In Enfield Town this morning I was sat behind EMN 2. I only saw the back end. On the rear destination the RATP logo was displayed. It alternated between full rear screen, and top half showing two miniature versions ilof same. Comments?

One big hunch for the SL6 could be the SL1 HAs, they do have the livery of the superloop and wouldn't take long to refurbish. 196 could use the ex 405 HTs or HVs The whole SL6 situation is odd but it would be madness to brand temporary buses to cover a delay. Having said that it will come down to what TfL has stipulated and if Arriva need to have a branded bus on Day 1. Then what will the anticipate delay look like if there is one, and what is the cheapest way to cover that would be if say fines are involved. In a common sense world the Go-Ahead buses will be used in some arrangement or unbranded buses will be allowed. The branding is only a vinyl wrap - according to this FOI answer it cost just over £70k for the SL6 fleet last time round - tfl.gov.uk/corporate/transparency/freedom-of-information/foi-request-detail?referenceId=FOI-2626-2324It may well be that TfL is content to accept some form of interim branding for any short term transfers.

The SL3 often has a quarter or more of its allocation in standard red.

In reality it isn't a big deal, but obviously TfL & certain higher ups want to maintain a visual branding for various reasons (which I don't agree with personally and am sure many others don't) The reasons for those appearances are due to mechanicals on the LTs, the two SL routes operated by RATP used to see red buses as well, due to multiple crashes involving the allocated BCEs

Yep, I have a photo of one dating to November 20 2023 so it’s been a thing for a while. In my case it was ES30 displaying Rail Replacement for the DLR and the number blind was the RATP logo

We still have one "unbranded" bus on the SL1 (HA1)and have done from the start so not sure if Arriva are fined for non-compliance but you would hope that a new contract would be an upgrade.

There's also HA17 on the SL2 that's unbranded and also not fully blinded either. Stagecoach also constantly have unbranded buses on the SL3 as well.

The New Routemasters keep breaking down on the SL3 so there's constant unbranding.
