Wasn't sure if I should create a thread for this or not. There may not be too many more examples of this, or any, though I suspect there will be. Two routes pass in opposite directions, then pass AGAIN in opposite directions. Not going to the same destination, but the two drivers can wave to each other as they pass, and then do so again on the same journeys.
499 and 256 along Noak Hill Road pass, the 499 heading to Gallows Corner then goes via North Hill Drive to Hilldene Avenue, the 256 heading to Hornchurch goes via Straight Road to Hilldene Avenue and they pass again in opposite directions. Unusual or not?
Doesn't work the other way round though on Noak Hill Road, going the other way they have to cross on Hilldene Avenue first 499 to Romford and 256 to Noak Hill, then will cross again on Noak Hill Rd.

E5 and 105 southbound: Dormer's Wells Lane and at Sussex Road (the E5, which has just come from Southall, shares a stop with all the routes going to Southall) and the southbound 105 is on the other side of the road.

357 and W16 at Chingford Mount, then again at Lea Bridge Road (you'd need NP drivers to say hello to a non-NP driver firstly though...!)

The 376 vs the 101 and 474
So the southbound 474 and 101 (heading towards Beckton and gallions reach / Canning Town) and the Beckton bound 376 are headed in opposite directions at East Ham (on high street road north), a short stretch of Woolwich manor way (near Beckton bus station), Cyprus place and Ferndale Road

The 62 and 287/368. They head the same direction down Ripple Road and the 62 then passes them the opposite directions in Barking Town Centre. Almost always should the two buses head down Ripple Road together they'll pass in Barking Town Centre |
