Interesting that there's all this talk regarding the 24... when the Haringey borough bus review is finalised and published you'll see a proposal which I think a few members on here will like.

Obviously you can't tell us that one but is every borough getting a bus review and if so, any indication of one concerning Lambeth?

No one said it has to stay like that for another 100 years but the fact it's survived so long in its current form clearly shows despite issues that many routes are currently facing, it still works. I agree - I don't think TfL will ever have plans to change the 24 because of how long it has stayed since its creation. It's probably something they hold with pride and if they changed it, it would probably attract lots of media attention and considering that it has worked fine for almost 100 years. They should only change the route if the route gets lots of traffic on the way, which it doesn't, nor does it go on roads which prohibit buses. Difference of opinion here but I don't think history of a route plays a part in whether or not TfL will make changes to a route. It will attract media attention for 5 minutes and then people will learn to just accept that the change has happened.

I totally agree...... it's only bus enthusiasts who know or care about the history of the route.

You walk down Oxford Street and ask 10 people what the oldest unchanged bus route in London is I would hazard a guess that no one would know the answer unless you the one person you asks is an Enthusiast.

As an enthusiast, I actually have no idea 😳 Is it the 94? 7 has been meddled with, so has the 98/159, 73, 390, 113?

I believe every borough is getting one eventually, though this was before COVID hit so I don't know what the new priorities are. I haven't seen Lambeth mentioned just yet.

When will this be published, do you know? Not a clue I'm afraid, though the draft version is pretty much complete already so I don't anticipate it taking too long.
