What is your favourite electric bus? Not much to choose from as of yet especially in London.

I’ve travelled on both the Metrodecker EV & E400 City EV. They’re both very nice, but I prefer the E400 more

I like (the exterior) of the Optare DD Electrics (on the C3). Apparently they have a larger capacity than the BYD/ADL ones as well. Annoyingly, a lot of the routes I use most are converting to electric using the BYD/ADL buses. I wish I lived in a Tower Transit area!

None to be honest - I am saddened by the direction most transport systems are heading to throughout the world (I totally understand). I would prefer a Mercedes Citaro, hearing that kickdown along Park Lane 40/50mph on route 73 or up Pentoville Road. I would prefer a VLA on route 123 down Woodford Avenue o a LDP on route 484.
Electrics do not do it for me. NRM is probably the newest bus that will do it for me. Hearing it at the maximum speed on the N8 on the A102 or Eastern Avenue is the business.

Personally only used the MetroCities on the 312 which seems to have quite a violent take up. Got the Yutong demonstrator a few times, but in all honestly can't remember too much about it, but recall my recollections were that it was better than the EMCs.
That said do not think we should be buying any Chinesse tech, so any BYD or Yutong is automatically disqualified for me. From just observing, the VDL Citea EV (eagerly awaiting image of the facelift) and Volvo 7900 Ellectric are my favourites, but unfortunately neither is currently available to the London market.
If I had to chose any of those listed, it would be the dyslexic Irizar.

Yes, their buses are amazingly maintained. I'd say Tower maintain their buses the best in London if anything. But all the services they operate are dreadful. Only a few exceptions such as the 488 that I've never had issues with. They've really made a mess of the 262.

None of the electrics thrill or wow me but I'm a dinosaur who grew up in a different time so it's to be expected.

Which just goes to show we are all different - I am considerably older than you (dinosaur? I've barely climbed onto dry land!) and I love electric buses. But then I was always a trolleybus fan and to my mind, today's electric double deckers are their worthy successors.
