After a series of confirmed orders today, here are outstanding orders yet to be confirmed: Abellio: 363 Go Ahead: 157, 213, 265, 366 Metroline: 228, 316 Stagecoach: 86, 199, 276 E2 and E8? The figure a week ago from The Londoner of 95 WDEs ordered by Metroline would include those two routes, though there hasn't been direct confirmation.

Also quite interesting to see what has been ordered for the Arriva orders as well as the E5.... Also interesting that route 265 is missing from the orders list for Go-Ahead… Possibly 265 and 376 have been swapped The 265 gets a fairly fast run along the A3 from Roehampton to Tolworth, which takes it fair distance from its garage, possibly they are more comfortable putting diesel buses on it, Tolworth is a bit remote from nearest GoAhead charger if bus needs quick top up.

I wasn't thinking so much about range, but with the 430 already an existing retain and the 14/39/74 potentially existing retains I wonder if TFL and Go Ahead have decided its not necessarily cost effective to keep electrifying a garage for just 1 route and they will delay it till other garages with more then 1 route are done. Similar to how the 319 right from the start had a delayed introduction by a year and the 265 will start with the ex 164 SEs. Or could the 265 manange 12m buses. I'd probably say no for the stand arrangement at Putney Bridge Station and possibly the Asda roundabout.

I’d agree as I’m not sure if 12m buses would be appropriate for the double run in Roehampton that requires a tight turn around that statue on Medfield Street. Also some of the roads traversed like Beverley Way may not be suitable for 12m vehicles.

Not sure I understand the correlation here between the 376 and diesel buses? When the notice was put up by Go-Ahead informing staff of the 376's win, it was worded to suggest existing electrics would be used on that route as the other electric gains at the time specifically referenced new electric buses hence why many took the view the 376 was receiving existing electrics from somewhere. It could simply be, like the 213 & 366, that the 265 is awaiting a confirmation on it's order.

Perhaps GAL simply took extra options on the large Sutton/Merton order and didn’t announce them to the world. I’d be very surprised if nothing had been ordered and honestly we are all just assuming it because LOTS hasn’t confirmed it.

Nope, 10.2m is the biggest that D3 can take due to the tight roads in the Wapping area. Is there a reason why the D3 can take 10.2m, but the 100 seems to be limited to 9.7m? Also note that routes like the 226 and W15 were limited to 10.2m with E20Ds, but could fit the longer BYDs, so might also be the case with the D3? I expect Go Ahead would prefer to have a common fleet between the 376 and D3 if possible. I was told it's the left turn from Cable Street into Cannon Street Road (part of the 100's terminal loop at Shadwell) that's the problem. I vaguely remember a rail replacement service many years ago that had to use that loop with bigger buses; they were meant to run all the way to Dock Street to avoid the problematic turn. In practice many drivers managed to do the tight turn anyway.

Am very intrigued to see if the upcoming new buses for Arriva and Stagecoach will have traditional smart blinds or screens, if they have screens I think we can officially say the era of smart blinds are over. I also don’t think it’d be a great idea to put these new high spec buses on the 86, knowing the volumes the route carries I think they’d just get vandalised too quickly, same with the 25 when it’ll probably get them down the line.

Following Friday's tender results, I have updated the Abellio, Arriva and Go-Ahead sections to reflect the new orders which were awarded in that particular tender result.
In addition, I added some more information on orders in the Abellio and Go-Ahead sections.
