Another batch of London StreetDeck Electroliners seems to be starting, according to BLOTW, with chassis number 657, to be registered LV24VOJ. From looking at page one, seems only Metroline and Arriva have the type due. So if Metroline, should be the E2/E8 batch, which are due elsewhere? or if Arriva 279 batch. Well that is if logic has anything to do with it. The 10th vehicle in this batch will be chassis 666!

Do all new electric buses need to have the full length “route number and destination” display on the rear? Transport UK have them on both their Electroliners and e400ev s but Metroline and Go-Ahead London don’t seem to… No, they don’t. I believe it was an optional extra. Personally I hate them, the writing is so small I’d still have to stop to see what it says. There seem to be two types, whatever display Abellio use on their Electroliners is huge.

Metroline also have a batch on order for the 113's contract so my guess is if it's Metroline, it's that batch rather than the E2 & E8 batch which I think will end up being deferred until AH is finished with it's building works. If Arriva, have to agree that surely it's the 279.

Metroline also have a batch on order for the 113's contract so my guess is if it's Metroline, it's that batch rather than the E2 & E8 batch which I think will end up being deferred until AH is finished with it's building works. If Arriva, have to agree that surely it's the 279. The 113s vehicles are also straight after the 316/228 VMSLs in the numbering sequence which would mean the AH batch comes after that so it would seem like they’re arriving before the AH batch.

Further to your post, a couple of regs have appeared on the vehicle check site, LV24VOJ (as you mention) plus LV24VOK & LV24VOM I think they should have thought twice before issuing VOM 😂 its what the new BYD decker makes me want to do

Judging by the gap between batches, would seem to be a batch of 23, which seems they are most likely for Metroline and the 113 as had been suggested, but far from confirmed.

Seems Go Ahead are still sticking with Ees/SEes, at least for now - could change if they are interested in the BZL or integral ADL EVs? And Abellio are possibly standardising with Wright after ordering some BYDs and Caetanos. I expect they will continue to order some Optares as well though for shorter SDs like the S3, since Wright don't make an equivalent (I wonder why they discontinued the electric Streetlite)? Most interesting orders now are probably the unannounced Metroline DDs (for the 113, 206, 210, W7 and W8) - whether they go for more WDEs, or follow Stagecoach in switching to the DD BZL? Their SD orders are probably more predictable other than maybe length - particularly whether the busy 143/C11 get 10.8m? And while nothing is due at the moment, RATP are likely to need to order some new electrics at some point soon, with tender results overdue for quite a lot of their routes. So will be interesting to see whether they stick with more BYDs for standardisation, or choose something else for quicker delivery times? They did recently trial a Streetdeck demo on the 23, maybe they will try to test a BZL as well? And regardless of operator, I wonder how long it will be until the new E400EV gets a demostrator trialled in London, or even a full batch ordered? I think it was mentioned some Stagecoach examples for outside of London are being built at the moment, though there could be a delay in them becoming available in TFL spec (like with the BZL)? And similarly the E100EV could be a popular option for routes requiring that size, and the longer E200EV when it is eventually introduced? Even if the 143 gets wright gb kites I still think we need to introduce the 620 to relieve the 143 which literally has 5 schools along its route

Not sure why everyone is so certain on this, the management at RATP has changed since the last orders were placed at the current setup may prefer alternative options. They may not be ADL/BYD fans.
